Even if Darksiders owners didn't have that special "mystery" coupon that was previously required to secure a free copy of Red Faction Guerrilla, they can still snag a complementary copy of THQ's Martian shooter. There is, of course, an asterisk.

THQ and Vigil are opening up the free copy of Red Faction Guerrilla floodgates to anyone who purchased a new copy of Darksiders. It also requires sending in your Darksiders UPC code, your original purchase receipt and some shipping and handling cash. But, hey, free-ish Red Faction!

I worked the red carpet for the Interactive Achievement Awards yesterday, doing my best not to ask the gaming luminaries who walked by what they were wearing. Silly mini-interviews can happen at these things. Such as this one:

David Adams and Tim Campbell of Vigil Games walked up to me. Their studio made Darksiders. I'm going to paraphrase the best part of our exchange:

Me: What are you working on now?

Them: Darksiders 2.

Me: Oh? The first one was like Zelda. What game is this one going to be like?

Them: Darksiders.

Of course they weren't going to tell me what's going on with the new game. That doesn't happen on a Red Carpet. We joked about who should star in it and agreed that if they put a different horseman of the apocalypse in the lead role of Darksiders 2, then the CEO of Darksiders publisher THQ might be able to happily project Darksiders as a quadrology — quartet? Hypothetically speaking, of course. At least we know what the sequel will be like, though, right?

Sooooo still haven't received shit about my copy of Red Faction, order has said complete for over 3 weeks. It says that they are suppose to send a seperate email when it ships which I have not seen, and your suppose to be able to check tracking/shipping status on the findmyorder site but mine doesn't show it.

Anyone even got there email stating that it was shipped yet? I sent a lolemail to customer support if anything comes from it I will post here, shit sucks I wanted to trade this in before GS credit bonus ended. ; ;

There was a PDF you could download when you completed the order that said "Please allow 4 weeks minimum for processing". I don't expect to see mine until we hit roughly the 5 week mark tbh.
