Dude, Mass Effect 1 as much as I love it, until you get out actually exploring, that whole first... 2-3 hours of Citadel crap is monumentously boring. Through subsequent play throughs I skip as much as possible and just try to get out into space so I'm not bored to death.

Edit: I reserved this the other day, now I have this and Bayonetta to pick up on Tuesday. My bank account is already crying. Then mass effect a couple weeks later. Fuck. How long is Darksiders supposed to be, subquestion are there any online reviews yet?

There are a couple reviews online, many I wouldnt call crediable, but it is reviewing well. As far as length, Ive heard 18-37 hours or so. What it comes down to is how much you explore the game, it works much like zelda is there is quite abit of exploring and your rewarded for it, let me go grab a few quotes from the official site.

HDN- We've always said the game would be 15-20hrs if you play it quickly, but yes, some people are breaking 30hrs (like the reviewer of Play Magazine - he was 31hrs in and still not at the end). It'll all vary on what you want from the game.

So what do you guys think: PS3 or Xbox 360?

On the one hand, some reviewers say that this game was designed for Ps3 and the controls were poorly ported to the 360. But on the other hand if you get the 360 version from EB you get a (said to be good) DLC weapon.

I'm thinking of going with PS3 because I prefer the PS3 controller to the 360 one. Not to mention that I find the PS3 to have slightly better graphics on my TV (although it may just be a placebo effect on my part)

Read what I posted about each version on the last page. Also that code just unlocks a weapon you already get during the game, but if their still available the novel should be nice.

Novel may not be the proper term, its the terminology they've been using on the official website, but its the guide to the underworld they were giving away with pre orders early in the pre order cycle. They just stopped making it available last week it seems. It's 100 pages long, has all kinds of nice stuff in it.
