and work harder has nothing do with employee protection, are you so naive that you think hard work is going to get you recognized? lol sorry bud, you live in a pretty sheltered world if you think changing jobs or working harder is going to get you anywhere without protections in place
stop listening to what your dad has been saying at the dinner table and form some opinions for yourself
I'm a liberal. Fuck working hard. Gimme chedda
Oh I was like you once. Big "Me Monster" wanted everything for nothing. Sense of entitlement that because I graced the workplace with my presence they owed me something. Now I am happy with putting in a hard days work and coming home to my family, anything extra if great but not something I expect.
I have heterosexual sex in the missionary position.
Sure, sure.
this guy is hilarious, maybe you're talking about something I'm not aware of
that benefit package you've arranged 50/50? my company pays for mine but I also pay about 40 bucks each check for me and mine
benefit packages involved in all these payouts, bonuses for execs etc, that's crap I agree, especially in times like these
I'm not sure where you're coming off, if anything you sound like someone in management, former working class who wishes they didn't have to pay benefits for all their employees
are benefits expensive? sure, but they pay for themselves -- disagree? well watch the turnover rate with companies without benefits, the hiring costs for companies with high turnover rates is so high, due to training, keepng management busy with hiring, training, calling background checks etc
if your concern is a cost one, it's foolish -- I remember our provincial gov't cut back on education funding then created a bunch of minimum wage jobs, short term cost savings with no vision of the longterm future (and a foolish one at that, given the level of skill and education that the workers at those disposable jobs would have)
I was 50/50 on the support of health insurance. In that I support it somewhat and in ways I don't, due to people demanding it which goes against my views on benefits even though people get shafted by that insurance anyway. I think people should go ahead and get a policy outside of the company HMO or w/e they get. Most of what I've seen of the company provided policies are crap and send people to a terrible doc-in-the-box type place.
how is this a rebuttal lol?
let me know when you're gonna stop spewing company lines and say something valid
should people be happy to have jobs these days? sure, why not. are your coworkers horribly unproductive while you singlehandedly save america? probably. are you John Galt making the best sandwich ever in a simple and efficient manner? well maybe Im having too much fun with you
spill the beans man, what are some solutions, and instead of saying crap about how people shouldnt complain about benefits (and then follow with saying they'll probably send you to a crappy doc-in-a-box anyway lol... now you're complaining)
it's just so glaringly obvious that, yes you're 20, yes fine, you're hardworking and not yet cynical, and haven't watched enough Fox News and CNN to form a non-recycled opinion
i have sweet benefits from my job. praise capitalism
ITT: Wrong people are wrong, right people are right.
this guy just boggles me lol, obviously there's a point when benefits and bonuses become excessive, and there's no reason for a company to suffer financially because of benefits, so sure, have the employee's pay into it (but at a corporate rate where the company is getting a discount because of the large number of applicants)
how benefits, vacation time and sick days keeping thw workers helathy happy and productive could possibly be a bad thing is beyond me
I'm just waiting for him to safe face and say he was talking about some minor obscure point which makes this whole thing useless. I just want to see his computer clipboard and see where he is actually copying and pasting from cnn.com and foxnews.com
Howard. You need to WERK HARDA at understanding his point of view.
it's funny, I don't mind working hard, but at my work I see both sides and can sympathize with the workers as well as management
[here's where I feed you some ammo and you presume to understand any of my previous poiints]I'm a union rep at my work and I've seen how much easier things go when management is happy and when the workers are happy
every 3 years both sides get together and iron out what's fair, what's expected and we have all kinds of protections in place to make sure that everone gets the same treatment and that Employment Standards laws are followed
pretty basic, no teamsters here, this isn't some kind of Right to Laziness crap, and you should see the lack of turn-around here. we're in-house security and I see the turn-around rate in the contract company: no benefits, expectations to work more than your scheduled hours, sometimes beyond 16hrs (illegal here) and I always see new faces, those dudes get scammed all the time
but hey, work harder FNH, you'll get what you earned
ilu shiro, this stuff gets me riled up:\
I know dudes that work through their breaks, drives me nuts
I don't take breaks a lot of the time, but I also sometimes work 6 hour days or take 2 hour lunches.
i break through my work. shits cash
