you see the problem with minimum wage is where the work gets associated with an hourly rate, and this is not done equally

in germany teachers are paid much much more, what else would you do for the people responsible for administering the education of our children? oh, but maybe if they work harder they will be happier, maybe if they spend their 128 hours more efficiently (like say not reading my child's essay and giving a mark based on his attitude in class, or how much they kiss up)


the point of minimum wage is to ensure a basic standard of living, so single moms don't have to work 2 jobs and subsequently misuse their 128 hours




seriously man, think through any one of your criticisms and ideas, and recognize that this 20-40/hr phenomenon, while obviously bloated should not be remedied by attacking minimum wage or benefits

if you don't want to accord vacation that's fine, but you need to pay that additional 4% out in either pay or time able to be used

most companies take the simpler route and give vacation time
