So with Nadal not playing and Federer fresh off his French Open win, is there any doubt from anyone that Federer will clinch this one and pass the all time record set by Sampras? He played kind of shoddy today but I'm thinking he's taking it easy the first few rounds.

Anyone else a fan of tennis at all?

I don't mind watching tennis. It does suck that Nadal's not going to be there and I think it will cheapen Fed's win (assuming he wins) a bit with him not being around.. but he still has to win six more matches, so yeah. I'll probably catch the Finals and when it's on during the morning sometimes.

Anyways, it is a real shame nadal isn't playing. Djokovic or however the fuck you spell his name is the only other real good player that's playing that has a chance to win a set against Fed, but other than that I think this one's pretty much in the bag.

Edit: Which Williams sister does everyone think is going to win, or are some people betting on Sharapova? :O

I havent been keeping up with tennis too much lately but iirc Venus hasnt been good enough to even make it to the semis as of late so I'm putting my money on serena as far as the william sisters go. Over all though, I think serena is a fat ugly bitch and I hate her for spoiling my tennis with her being there. That being said, gooooo sharapova but.. dunno how her shoulder is holding up.

I missed Rolland Garros, but I'd say maybe Verdasco and certainly Murray would both have better chances than lolRoddick against Fed. I just cannot see him not choking, even though I do like him.

I don't really watch womens, but I'll go with Serena to win.

Wow no one mentioning Andy Murray? World No.3, won shit loads of titles this year. I think i read hes won federer more times than hes lost to him, although im not 100% on that, that could be just this year.
He also beat Nadal in the last US open, but went onto lose to Federer.

I dont like Murray, mostly because of his silly views on Britain, infact entirely on that, But over the last year he has evolved into one hell of a player, and is a real threat to anyone on the court.

Dreaming of a Murray Vs Federer Final, and me been the only person in the pub shouting for federer.
