Internet connections

I'm not sure if it was the proper place to put this but...

My family is looking for a package deal when it comes to phone/cable/internet and it looks like they have it down to Comcast or Verizon FIOS. I could care less about the phone and cable but does anyone have experiences with either of these companies as an ISP? I've heard that Comcast actually slows down your connection for a period of time if you're too much of a burden on the network.

FiOS is the way to go. Comcast sucks ass and their customer support is as bad a S.E's

FiOS all the way. Google 'Comcast and WoW' and see what you come up with

Also yes, Comcast has been accused of punishing users who use bittorrent a lot. FiOS doesn't really do that (yet).
