If it's not, take a bottle of aspirin, and call 911, tell them you tried killing yourself. Problem solved.

If you want financial aid, you'll need to register with the selective service.

To be honest I'd support this war to wipe that fucking regime off the map. I'd gladly join the Marines (My Selective service) and lay a fucking smack down on those bitches.

Idk how many times we have to say it lol. It'll never ever come to that. They might not fear it (N. Korea) but they just don't have the capability to hit anything other than hawaii, and with all the naval defenses there it's highly unlikely an attack would be successful. They would literally have to sail halfway across the world, at this point, to hit anything on the West Coast, and the East Coast is completely out of range.

I don't fear Nuclear War, because if it comes to that we're all dead anyway.

Ignoring the fact that any group which passes the draft guarantees they won't be re-elected, it is not needed. Enlistment numbers for the military are up and the highest they've been in several years, past their recruiting goals thanks to the economy being in the shitter.

Quit getting a hardon every time I post and stop fucking up threads with your ignorant pseudo-intellectual rhetoric.

You're a fucking simpleton posing as an intelligent, productive member of society and then you use retarded fucking logic to try and turn arguments around on people in order to take attention away from your paranoid bullshit.

Notwithstanding that there are probably plenty of people out there that don't like me I'm sure an infinitely larger amount don't like you.

Quit being such a prick to people.

Anyone who says anything about a draft is a certified moron.

First, the SS system. It was designed to be two things; an emergency source of manpower, and to provide the ability for conscientious objectors to still have a place in a draft system. The latter would be cosigned to doing public work service assignments on American soil. So even if you were of able body and mind, that doesn't necessarily mean you would be required to serve, even if they had to implement the system. And even then, recall is a random lottery based on birth year. The SS system however is designed as an oshitwe'reabouttobeinvaded plan. Another point about SS - its only required for men.

Second, think about this for more than 1 second. The military has a what? Ah yes, a no drug tolerance policy. So, assuming they reinstitute a draft, what do you have to do to get out of it? Go to your friends house and smoke a blunt. Then self refer. Hmm. I wonder just how many draftees would? I sincerely doubt the military would overturn this policy just to ensure they could get personnel - unless we had soldiers of a foreign enemy power parajumping onto continental US soil. Yeah, I just don't see that happening anytime soon.

Thirdly, even though the military is generally speaking undermanned for a concerted war effort, it is by no means in any danger of needing personnel at that level. We haven't had a war for years (see difference between *war* and *policing action*). For starters, in addition to the people you have around active, you have reservists. Ok, that gives you a buffer. Then you have the secondary buffer, inactive reservists. Everyone that joins signs up for a certain number of years of active service, and then a certain number of years of inactive reserve. So, for the Navy, this tends to be 4/4 or 6/2. Basically unless you do 8 years of active duty, you are an inactive reservist until 8 years has passed since your enlistment date.

Seriously, get outta here with your I'm scared of the dark crap. If you wanna be scared of NK fine, by all means I won't stop you, fear is good in small doses, it keeps you from being complacent - and make no mistake complacency kills. But those silly notions like the draft are so ridiculous they don't even deserve mentioning. Just people trying to use more political trigger scare tactics.

If it comes down to a draft in the UK, I'd probably join the royal engineers. And make turret bots. And I'd be smart enough to code in a spy checker, so they couldn't run up and sap my shit!

I'm not entirely sure of this source but it looks like the US is pulling it's troops out of the DMZ and Seoul. They are still gonna train and patrol the DMZ. I think that they are moving the sitting ducks away from the artillery.

Unconfirmed reports of Air Force personnel deploying to Guam, perhaps in addition to other places, as soon as tomorrow. Could be interesting.
I have a buddy in the reserves that is being sent to Guam in September.

Can you people start to bold, red text and underline the words I should be paying attention to?

All I see is plain text words in a jumble that has no meaning to me. I don't have time to read everything, so just emphasize the important words for me. Thanks.
