I don't know if China would be forced to act against NK, but they definately couldn't make a good argument for why we or anyone else shouldn't retaliate. Likewise, I don't see them trying to stop us or try and help NK in that situation.

IIRC a nuclear bomb uses a specific catalyst explosion to set off the nuclear reaction. Blowing one up midair with another rocket would not be sufficient to set off the nuclear reaction.
