Gingrich isn't going anywhere if he runs because he has MAJOR ethics skeletons in his closet (the reason he oh-so-quietly resgined as Speaker of The House AND from his seat in Congress), and Pawlenty's fucked in part because he's refused to end Norm Coleman's childish tantrum.

Romney, at least in his personal life, is a straight arrow. I'd be truly surprised if anything on the level of Clinton/Spitzer/Craig/Sanford/Ensign/Foley turned up. He's also got clout on universal healthcare because of Masscare, even though the only thing he did was sign the bill that his D-dominated legislature passed. If he can overcome the objections of evangelicals to a Mormon AND there's no other strongly religious candidate (i.e. Huckabee) draining his votes, he would be a serious candidate in '12.

BTW on-topic - Sanford's trips to Argentina to see his mistress were paid with federal tax money.
