I get a phone call from my brother this morning telling me his account was hacked and the person is in whitegate walking around with one of his characters. So he gets on a different account and calls a GM who tells him he can't do anything about it (you can catch the last bit of the gm convo in the screenshot below), and that he has to wait till 9 am pacific to call SE. Meanwhile my brother keeps sending the person tells asking them to please give the account back and after a bit of pleading this happens:

He then goes to a different login screen goes in and changes his password right away and then goes in to check that all his things are still there and while checking he gets kicked off his account one more time with the message that says someone logged from his account from a different screen, so whoever is doing it was able to get his newly changed password back that quickly. Then he was in a tug of war with whoever is doing this trying to see who gets to the change password screen first, which he finally loses, and now the account is gone again.

He's calling SE to have the account rolled back once they open but who the hell knows how long that will take, when my account was taken it took me over a month to get it back.

holy crap you guys really think it could be a key logger?!... and yea some people ordered security tokens and never got them, I got mine 10 days after I ordered my brother wasn't so lucky.

I mostly posted the screenshot because i found it interesting that the guy actually gave him the password to get back on even if they took it back. And I really didn't get the whole FUCK JP comment the guy made either. Anyhow, SE was actually very fast about returning his account and he got it back today.
