I have no porn saved on my PC. Not a single byte.
As far as doing a 15 miler following a 10k race, it's not that bad. What really takes a toll is doing a long run followed by speedwork. I find it easier to do speed/tempo the day before a long run as opposed to the day after. Your long runs are pretty much ran at whatever pace you feel comfortable, so you can hold yourself back if your legs are tired and still allow for recovery.
20+ mile runs are the best, I think.
Work is starting to slow down so I think I can finally manage to get back into running and swimming full time again. am happy
Ahh that makes more sense to me than base on how you do it. 15 miles just seemed a large amount to me after a race. When I did it, I usually made my day after races my easy day with only around a 5-7 mile light pace jog to get in mileage on my legs then follow that up with my speed day and then my ling distance day at an easy pace, rest a day, long distance day with a hard pace and then an easy day for rest before a race. Of course this was about 6 years ago when my legs and body were still fresh out of high school and running a 5k or 10k every sunday wasn't an issue with work/money.
I used to carry around a burlap bag full of literally hundreds of dollars in Sacagawea dollars back in college.
I was banned from paying for games at EB Games with them because the staff hated dealing with all those coins.
Still like to give them out as tips.
As for obsessions, I buy DVDs and games I have absolutely no real intention of playing/watching. I have an entire room in my house dedicated to holding my collection which, last I checked, was probably worth 125k+. I blame Parasite Eve, the first game I bought and never played due to lack of time rather than the game not being good. I also blame FFXI for taking up all my free time.
I need to get back into my DVD collection. It was put on hold when my wife lost her job but now she has another. I usually buy 2-3 DVD's a week and have about 200 movies now and many cartoon show box sets including 11 seasons of simpsons and 7 seasons of Family Guy, all the Futurama seasons. I want to start collecting Southpark seasons next.
If I start to clean something (like my house, shoes, etc.) I MUST finish it. I can't stand for only part of it to be done. I don't mind things not being straight, but once I start, I can't stop until it's done. It made for an interesting move this past month, since I tried to unpack and organize the whole house in one day. I ended up compromising with my obsession to compartmentalize it to the "room" level.
I also have a strict elevator behavior. If there is just me and another guy in the elevator, I'll always exit first. Just me and a lady, I'll exit last. Three or more in the elevator, no matter the sex, I'll exit last.
My sister doesn't let neighboring foods touch each other on her plate. She also starts eating the food at 12 o'clock on her plate (eating all of that type) then works her way around the plate clockwise. She has always done this and it wasn't until one night at dinner when the rest of the family commented on it to her did she even realize that's what she did. She's tried to break herself of the habit, and simply can't. It's hard for the rest of us in the family to not watch her do it, much to her dismay. She just got married last December and her husband hasn't noticed (or at least commented about) the behavior...yet.
I'd have to say my DvD collection as well. I've got close to 1300 I believe in a spare bedroom started collecting them about 10 years ago. I have them in alphabetic order and by type of movie, like Comedy, Action, ect. My friends all give me shit likes its a video rental store.
I'd have to say FFXI :X mainly due the hours and hours spent on it when I should be outside enjoying summer xD
I love Ghost World, both the graphic novel and the movie to painful degrees. It's not like it's that fantastic, I don't know why I love it so. I've watched and read it countless amounts of times.
I have to say music for the most part, not all into the paraphernalia and all, but I am obsessed with my music. I always have either my MP3 player or my CD player on me at all times except on PC then I just use a radio site like Pandora. I fear if I ever go deaf I would shoot myself, I need my music.![]()
I would not call music and embarrassing obsession. Come back and see me when it's comic books or something.
Depends about what genre or style compared to what your peers enjoy. If you're some Williamsburg hipster and have a deep love for, say, country or know everything about Nickleback, then that's pretty embarrassing.
However, from my own personal experiences, music can be one of the most annoying obsessions people display in public. I'm talking about the kind of people who know everything about certain genres, are almost always wearing some t-shirt they got an obscure concert, or do the "oh you wouldn't have heard of them, they're so small they never released an album" kind of elitism.
Hannah Montana, Sonny With a Chance, and alot of other Disney Channel Original Series. If I miss an episode due to stupid shit, God help anyone that gets caught in my wrath. I also am currently in love with the band Blood Brothers.
I've read every Star Wars book, not counting the comic books, graphic novels, or children's books. In case anyone cares, New Jedi Order and X-Wing are my 2 favorite series.
hey, it says embarrassing..most of the mentioned arent really embarrassing.
My embarrassing obsession is games (in specific; FFXI).
Especially when my wife mentions it infront of people: "yea my husband plays videogames still, and he thinks he's a cool elf"
