BBC News 24 just reported it as an "unconfirmed report from the TMZ website." Watching it on TV at the moment and browsing various news sites. It's car crash television; I feel ghoulish.

Google news doesn't have anything more informative than the OP. Probably going to have to wait for a press release from either a) the hospital (not likely due to HIPAA) b) the family c) a legal representative (manger, lawyer, etc.) for the official word.
