That's not what I mean. What I mean is, I don't see why you would think a "Lv.1" Goblin buddy is literally a Lv.1 goblin, since you have to escort it, unless the cap is really low (for example, a "Lv.1" goblin buddy might actually be roughly equivalent to a Lv.50 mob). And if it isn't literally equivalent, then getting to level 5 might actually take some work.

Well, I will certainly laugh if getting a level 5 goblin is like getting a stage 5 relic.

So that's what happened to MJ. A Moblin got into his heart.

All you need to unlock "job change" for your adventuring fellow is to call him 5 times; I guess it's theoretically possible (though unlikely) that he might not have leveled at all. It's the very first milestone in your NPC's growth, and happens quite soon (which is good, because having a level 30 NPC constantly voking everything isn't generally helpful).

Based on the wording, I can't read it as anything but cumulative over multiple sessions. For one, I can't envision stopping mid-run to change your goblin's job (I suspect this may not even be allowed). I do wonder whether you'll be able to call your adventuring fellow at the same time.

Would seem to be a voucher. Now, whether they let you call him in other MMM Vouchers is another story, let along in other parts of vana'diel. The safe bets are no and no (although it would be cool).

"special maze runes to customize your Gobbie's abilities."

If it were actually a LV1 Goblin (as opposed to LV75GOB), then leveling it could be a problem if also the mobs didn't
adjust to the lowest level member of the party, i.e. the goblin himself. If it only adjust to the player, the mob could die in a second from AOE.

If however it it did adjust to the goblin, it would be very easy to keep the goblin safe, as adds could be killed with ease.

If it works like Adventuring Fellows, though, a party of three could have each player call 1 Goblin NPC each for a total of three Goblins.

Given that you are escorting him, it does seem that this won't be a "any job will work" event, because you need to be able to cure him.

    Some questions are

    1) Are players going to get much exp off this?
    2) How would CC come into play?
    3) Assuming this a voucher, what runes are allowable?
    4) Can you switch the goblin's job, or once you pick it, you are stuck with it?

    Pure Speculation...
The event will be Voucher 5 (but it could be Voucher 8, who knows).

The real questin here is,"what's the point of this voucher?" Vouchers1-3 are for exping (and was for marble farming), there's a crafting maze, a helming maze (who knows what drops in there, and they did specifically say could could make gil with MMM), a boss maze for gear. I guess the point of this one is another way to get Augmented items?

Well, they explicitly say "lavish rewards" and mention augmented items, so I'm guessing the reward won't be xp or marbles but special gear obtainable only from MMM, like was done with the Liquidation Team voucher.

    This.

Whilst you guys are complaining that MMM has no good rewards I see this as an opportunity for SE to sneak in some powerful augmented items which won't be .dat mineable. I hope most new items added from here on out are augmented. It makes the new content more interesting because you actually have to go and try it out the new content instead of just finding out whether or not the new gear is good on the update day.

The augmented items have the possibility to be great. I just hope they're not completely random, because then that maze will just turn into another FoV. I hope they allow us to use the runes to augment the items. E.g. putting accuracy and strength runes will at least give augments of Acc + Str, even if the monsters are stronger and more accurate.
