Miz is right. But there are prescription color contacts also that have better health standards but they are more expensive. In general, contacts for fun is sort of an oxymoron because they are a pain in the ass to deal with. If you go out to a club especially with the crappy air and light.
That's just poor decision on their part. For the most part, choosing a color that is the same as your natural eye color but going lighter or darker by a few shades (Nothing extreme) can change your appearance but in a way that keeps your eyes looking like they are natural.
99.99% of color contacts look fake as hell. How is anyone supposed to be attracted to the color of your eyes when they know they're not looking at the real thing?
I have dark dark brown eyes and I bought some blue contacts back in high school. I didn't think they'd mask the brown of my eyes, but ooh boy, they did exactly that. My eyes were as blue as the sky. They also looked...fake as hell.
I used to wear some nice green colorblend freshlooks. Not to hard to take care of, would often get so comfortable wearing them, I'd forget they were in and fall asleep with them on. Have pics, would show them, but I refused to be shooped
Same. Pretty, expressive eyes are hot as hell and probably the second thing I notice after landwhale/notalandwhale. Fake color contacts are a definite turnoff though, just like fake tits or being overly trendy. Random unnatural colors can be fun occasionally, though. Obviously those aren't trying to fool anyone.
Dark-->light tends to look ridiculous and stand out with just a glance. Even dark->less dark or light-dark are still pretty easy to tell if you look at their eyes for more than half a second.
IMO Men/women do not notice eye color. If they notice your "eyes" because of your contacts that's bad fashion.
I have clearly different colored eyes (green/hazel & dark brown), and I am in single digits ever on the number of times someone who met me noticed and commented on my eye color within 24-72 hours of meeting me.
To clarify my position I am not a huge fan of colored lenses, I just wanted to point out that I, at least, notice eyes.
I've worn the black and white spiral colored contacts for just for fun around Halloween. They really aren't much different than normal contacts, though they limit your peripheral vision a little. There's nothing inherently more dangerous about novelty contacts than normal prescriptions as long as you get them from a reputable source (e.g. ordering through an optometrist).
Because if there's one thing that most all american people of any race can agree on, it's Colorism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Black people do that to appear to be a "lighter" black, because everyone loves them some lighter black people.
People who say most color contacts are not believable are kind of funny. Of course you only notice the ones that aren't believable, when someone is wearing color contacts and it looks believable, you wouldn't even know they had contacts on.
That being said, I wear color contacts, although prescription, and they look completely natural. The only way anyone has been able to tell was after I told them and they got about two inches from my eyes to see.
Posers! Mood stone color eyes or gtfo
I didn't really read the thread all the way through, but I notice a girl's eye color right away.
EDIT:
Now that I have more than 2 seconds to reply. I will say that most guys, unless they are really superficial won't care. I'm one of those guys that does notice shit like that (since I'm a faggot), but really its not your eye color, but rather what your eyes tell about you that guys like me normally tend to notice. SO I wouldn't worry about the color too much.
I used to have a chinese friend in high school that of course had darker eyes. And he got a set of green colored contacts to match a piece of jade that he wore as a necklace. It was definitely noticeable that he changed his eye color, and I think it looked really cool.
Another girl I went to school with bought some bright blue contacts, and it was noticeable for the fact that she looked crazy.
I'd say get them as long as they match just right. I'd say avoid bright ones though, just looks better, I think, if it's a darker hue.
I bought purple colored contacts once just for the hell of it. Wore them to school and people noticed instantly. They were like "Woah, what happened to your eyes?! You look evil!" Brown to purple does not work.. but if you wanna scare someone it's hella fun!
