There are some people who just do not fucking get it no matter how hard they try. An NQ Mantle is one thing but a fucking Plastron cannot be that cheap and even then a Haub/Hauberk shits all over it for overall performance.

It's really not all that hard to find websites dedicated to FFXI. Most of them are loaded with information & opinions on what's decent/good gear. Hell, you don't even need access to a computer, you can ask your Linkshell.

Plus, a lot of people who post here aren't laughing at NQ regular gear. With the exception of just a handful of pieces, most HQ gear isn't much better than the NQ.
