Sounds like you are trying to find things to complain about really. I already have vermy from pld, so I didn't buy a single job refresh piece for no reason. I'm not trading in my vermy for a black cloak just to pay for a +1 int upgrade. Switching to the 72 rings would only save me 140k, and the main thing I use my blm for is 60 cap ISNM and BCNM, so it would be a downgrade for that, and not an upgrade otherwise. Black cape +1 and rainbow cape cost the same and are both 3 int.

Confused would be if I don't know what gear I should be wearing. Confused is not wearing equally effective gear that you just happen to not like. And I do know what gear I should be wearing, which is why I will be sticking with the rings and cape I have for now and upgrading my hat and getting an auster's staff before I worry about those.

this was fulltimed gear, had blinkmenot unloaded. and since i need to specify who was fulltiming gear, it was yeti. also have had friends pt with this guy saying he says things like "im sorry if i seem like a jackass, i only use the best gear that i can use so i expect it of others" etc.

I'm not trying to poke this hornet's nest with a stick, but for 75 you definitely have enough there to qualify as confused.

Vermillion over Black Cloak?
Genius Rings over Diamond?
Black Cape +1 over Rainbow?

At the bare minimum you just made over 400k doing those changes that could definitely go for better gear. Personally, I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt which is why I never post here, but responding the way you did with your logic, you definitely seem confused.

So theyre supposed to change their Vermillion (which is just for refresh) to a Black Cloak (which at 75 is just for refresh), change their INT+4 Genius Rings to (marginally more expensive) INT+4 Diamond Rings, and change their INT+3 Black Cape+1 to (marginally more expensive) a INT+3 Rainbow Cape that comes with MND+3 and 9 hp/mp.

Those are clearly sidegrades, NOT upgrades, not to mention two of those lack whiteborders. Hardly worth calling anyone gimp for, especially when your very own gear changes offer no statistical bonuses relevant to the job.

Well since you you only appeared to read partially, I'll spell it out. I personally don't think the guy is gimp. To me it looks like he's scraping it bare bones to get by with his BLM and doesn't really care to put a whole lot of effort into the gear, and to be honest I could care less; hell I've done it with jobs too.

Do my suggestion offer stat upgrades? No, they offer money which could easily be translated into a stat upgrade. Everything I mentioned is cheaper or equal to in price than it's counterpart. Again, I don't think the guy is gimp, but he could easily sell off some items and make upgrades to gear or hell even pocket 400k for another job.

However, since you think whiteboxing laughable gear is better than money to actually make other spots in your gear worth while, I don't know whether or not the post was even worth typing.

i posted him because there were some things -I- thought were questionable. what really makes him confused are all the upgrades he wants to make when there are INSANELY OBVIOUS things to sidegrade in order to make those upgrades. this is confused, iirc.

Originally yes, since I intended to only use it for ISNMs. But since I got it to 75 everyone has demanded I use it for everything, so I've only just started to get gear for it in the last couple weeks.

Equal in price and stats doesn't do anything, so let's leave that one out of it. The only thing you mentioned that could get me any significant gil is the vermy, which again I use on pld. I am not going to get rid of gear for one job just to slightly accelerate gearing up another.

This is all I was saying. Obviously I don't have great gear for my blm, but to call being short 3 int "gimp/confused/wtf" is pretty dumb. It is especially dumb to care about using a 3 int back instead of a different coloured 3 int back when they cost the same. I can see thinking the vermy is WTF if you thought I bought it for blm, but given the jobs who can use it, perhaps giving me the benefit of the doubt might have made sense.
