Some FPS problems in FFXI

Alright, maybe about a week ago, i started to have FPS problems in FFXI, i'd be running at about 29FPS, then all of a sudden it'll drop down to about 3 or 4 FPS.

It does that for 15-30 seconds, then goes back to normal. I just switched to a new Widescreen 1920x1080 monitor, I don't think thats the problem, but I didn't have this problem until I hooked it up.

Any ideas of whats going on? or how to fix it?

Ive got an Apollo Radeon HD 4670 card. (lulz i know.)

Yeah, a new monitor shouldn't be a problem. Did you change your game resolution, or kept it the same settings as before? Check the usual suspects, background programs running, spyware, some program updating. Check if you accidentally made the video card loose when connecting the new monitor.

Out of curiosity, what was the previous desktop resolution your old monitor was running at? Also are/were you running fullscreen windowed?

Have you installed anything recently? Changed any software settings etc?

I made all my connections tight (Used a screwdriver.. but not too tight) The previous resolution was like... 1080x800? or something It was an old, giant eMachines monitor.
My game resolution is the same as my desktop 1920x1080, i'm running windowed without boarders. I just did a clean vista install, deleted the old partition, see if it would fix it, but it's still acting
