PS3 audio not working through the HDMI cable

yesterday, the audio feed became nonfunctional when sent through the HDMI cable. I have tried swapping to a different HDMI cable, and that did not fix the issue. Using an RCA/S-Video connection works, however for some reason, this throws the aspect ratio off. and the image is not centered. I have done a search of this issue, and a few people have said they fixed the issue, but gave no details on what they did. Has anyone out there had this issue and successfully fixed it themselves?

you've turned off your tv at least once and retried it right?

and you've checked your audio settings?

Check your TV settings to make sure that it also enables sound via HDMI (I can turn it off in my settings on my TV, yours might be disabled for some reason)

Try different HDMI ports also. Could be that some of the pins on your port might be broken?

yes, i have turned off TV, tried different HDMI ports and cables, and checked the audio setting. The audio worked perfectly fine 3 days ago, no changes were made. Now it doesnt work

PICK UP A CHEAP CABLE, TEST IT. IF IT DOESN'T WORK JUST RETURN IT. CAN GET A CABLE TO TEST IT FOR LIKE 10 BUCKS. OTHERWISE YOU MIGHT BE SOL.

problem fixed. wasnt a PS3 issue, but rather something in my TV. had to unplug the tv for an hour to reset to factory. thx for your input guys
