I found out today that a friend of a friend had Billy May record his voicemail on his phone. It goes something like "BILLY MAYS HERE! Just kidding, its John Doe. LEAVE A MESSAGE AT THE BEEP!"

Its hard to watch this and really realize he is dead. It doesn't seem like it. I know its been pointed out and made fun of and what not but as a regular follower of Pitchmen, it seems rather sudden.

Seriously, I've never been this affected before. I think it's because since I started watching the show, I imagined to be like a cool uncle that you look forward to hanging out with just to goof off with him.

Pitchmen is/was such a great show. I really loved the chemistry between Billy and Sully, but honestly Billy made the show and I don't see how they could continue making the show because no matter who they get to reform the duo, you can't fucking fill the shoes of Billy Mays.

See man, it sucks that it took a tragedy to get hooked on it. This show was awesome from the get go and really gave you an insight to how funny he was in RL, I've been watching since episode one and loved every bit of it.

Honestly so sad - he was starting to become really popular too with the TV show and doing ads on ESPN. He was even on Conan a few weeks ago and was pretty funny.

Went to my kitchen to get a drink, the TV was left on and I hear Billy Mays talking spanish, surely I thought no way did I just hear that so I quickly looked for my DVR control and rewind it, sure enough he was selling "Fix It!" in spanish. Fuckin amazing.

Legendary late pitchman Billy Mays' funeral was held in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania on Friday, and pals of Mays paid fitting tribute to their close friend.

The pallbearers at Billy's funeral all donned bright blue OxiClean button-downs while paying their last respects!

Those, of course, are the same shirts most famously worn by Mays himself in his popular infomercials for his top selling multi-purpose cleanser.
