I'm with Falisa on this one, I've gone to movies by myself multiple times if I want to see it bad enough. Saw Dark Knight by myself because no one was available opening night to go, same with Iron Man.

Same. Nothing wrong with going to the movies by yourself for certain movies. Comedy movies should really be seen with friends though, makes the experience much better

this whole movie thing depends entirely on who you know. for example, i love my sister in law and she's a sweet girl, but jesus christ she can't pay attention to anything for more than 15 minutes. i would never want to take her to any movie that had dry humor, dark humor, an involved plot, or ran over an hour and a half. going alone is a thousand million times better than going with someone who has really annoying movie habits, too. people who lean over and ask you fucking questions like you've got more information about the plot than they do are really annoying, but it's even more annoying when you have to answer their ass because whatever they're asking has actually already been answered but they were too stupid to pick up on it.

i don't know guys, i fucking hate taking people to the movies with me. almost everyone i know is stupid with a short attention span.

^ This. Honestly that's what made me start downloading more movies that were in the theaters then anything. My best friend is pretty fine to chill with, but the plot always, always escapes him when it comes to a movie with any depth and he tends to ask a lot of questions.

I'm stone silent during a movie, I enjoy it that way, I won't get up to take a piss, but I don't also buy a drink to gulp down before the previews end like a lot of people do. The only reason I don't go alone is because I enjoy the company, but honestly if I could go see movies with strangers who had the same habit, I would. I've considered it a couple times to organize something like this for myself, but never really have held an interest to carry it on so much.

Some movies are awkward to see with certain people as well, because you know they're going to get giggly or childish during anything questionable and can't just hold a stone face, they arm nudge you and whisper about it and complain or point out the obvious.

My friend was flipping his lid cause somebody behind us was chewing too loud during the commercials pre-previews(before they turn the sound up/dim the lights) and he bitched out loud to me and made the person feel like shit, another pet peeve of mine. I suppose it's double ignorance on the fist swallower and the bitching friend in this case, but the mannerism of it just bothered me more by involving me.
