This is what is usually the case in crap like this. A while back, there was also that 'spree' of children who were abused at daycare and were part of a bunch of child pornography. Later on most of the kids came forward and said they made it all up. Some did it because of parents, and some did it because they were.... bored.

I'm with Kuronosan on this. I do agree with the general consensus that MJ was a weird fucked up character, but not to the point that he'd be a Pedo. I'm not saying this because of his title, King of Pop, but more so because of the possibility of the parents having the kid fabricate the lies...for 22 million, hell. Come on, I will always stand by my firm belief that if this were to be true, they'd have finished it off in court. If these were my kids, I'd have pressed full charges to the fullest extent.

Personally I think MJ was a more socially preened version of the handicapped adults you see around who basically remain stuck in childhood their entire lives. Unfortunately he was such a big star, he became surrounded by people who just exist to pander to the whims of celebrities - you want a chimpanzee Michael... sure? you want to have a kids' slumber party.... that's a really good idea! and no one at any point in time was able to lay on the line to him that he was in fact a grown man physically and having kids sleep in the same bed as him was not on. A child with an adult credit card and bank account and no boundaries at all essentially - especially in a world where money can buy you pretty much anything you want anyway. It was a matter of time before a parent of one of the children in Jacko's crowd smelt a way to make a quick buck out of the situation.

And yes - a child can lie and ruin reputations... seen it happen to too many people.

People have no morals these days. It's entirely possible that he was lied about. Were I the mother of the kid who allegedly got raped, I wouldn't settle out of court. My response came off a bit more harsh than I intended to be honest. There is no possible way this guy did not fuck around with at least one of these children. I can appreciate people giving him some benefit of the doubt, but to almost absolve him of any wrongdoing with any of these children is naive at best.
Do I think some of the kids lied with their parents pulling the strings? Absofuckinglutely. But I do believe that some of them did tell the truth. This particular kid, I'm not sold on, at all.
