Play both; depending on if FFXIV is amazing or not, I'll fall back on XI or XIV and play the other more. At the most, I still have a few things I want to complete in XI and I won't feel I can quit til they are done.

It all depends on how XIV looks really. As of right now, I'm planning to stick with XI.

I quit 11 a while ago. I'll give 14 a shot for certain; but as soon as i get the faintest whiff of a "wut" attitude from devs, im gone. I'm not subjecting myself to lackluster updates and a dev team that has no want or care to listen to its playerbase ever again.

That being said, i have friends from 11 and from WoW that are both going to be playing with me, and I hope to play with people i never got a chance to play with in 11, like rich etc. So I'm hoping for everything to turn out.

As long as they keep the same character models and improve on gameplay and make combat more appealing to the eye, then i'll be playing. I'm not naive enough to think they learned their lesson about our feedback and communication with dev's though. It's up to them to show us they've learned. With the competition they'll have with Aion, SW, maybe a new Blizzzard mmo, they have to hit the floor running.

I quit FFXI a while back but I still regret it.

I'm on the fence about FFXIV. On one hand I'm psyched but on the other hand I know I get to addicted to gaming and for the mean time I am very into keeping in shape. I know I'd still be able to juggle keeping in shape and playing a game but I'm sure playing would put a dent in my routine.

Probably keep playing XI until it totally dies/gets shut down, but I don't think I have any interest in getting involved in another MMO at this point in my life.

Thinking Diablo 3 will beat XIV to market is wishful at best. SC2 beta 4 lyfe bruddah.

My friends (none of whom are currently into XI anymore) are split between Aion and WoW at the moment and it's probably going to take a lot of convincing them to get into just one game. It's unlikely Aion will win once XIV comes out.

When SE finally completes the entire FFXI game world and adds Geomancer I'll feel like I've gotten all I wanted out of it. 'Course that'll take them a good 5 years, so until then I'll also try XIV.

I really don't know.

Initially I had planned to play both. I'll need a new PC for XIV anyway, so it shouldn't be a big problem. AFK at Nidhogg while exping my character in XIV.

Lately, I don't know. The bullshit I've had to put up with in regards to my recent credit card bans - on both of my accounts - has left me really frustrated with Square Enix. I don't know if I want to give this company any more of my money.

I'm fairly sure most of my ls - old and new players - will move on to XIV and as they are my friends, I'll at least go with them for a while, but if their customer service remains as bad as it has in the past 5 years I've been playing this game, I don't know if I'm going to want to deal with it all over again.

So I voted play both, but really I don't know. It's going to depend.

I quit XI a while ago mostly because of uni (college), now that its finished and I'm in the process of (not) finding a job I'll probably have more free time to play games so I might play XIV. I somewhat regretted quitting XI but did because I had too, just going to wait and see what XIV is like.

Will quit XI and play XIV. I'm pretty sure most of my online friends are gonna make the jump, as well as quite a few of my rl friends and brothers are going to start it.

I'm going to try FFXIV before I make a decision about continuing to play either. I hope XIV ends up basically replacing XI for me, though.

Voted quit FFXI play FFXIV, this all depends on how good FFXIV turns out to be though obviously. So much for FFXI being my first and last MMO though, they had to go and slap the FF name on it again didn't they -.-
