Where is Marvel Vs Capcom 2?

I've spent my share time at Golf Land in OC like almost a decade ago. MvC2 can be called a button masher, but I know some of the Pros agree that there are huge division of skills of each player. There is no way a simple scrub can get by an old veteran, but that's as much credit I'm going to give the game.

By gameplay design, it's not really that impressive since it relies on pure speed and trained muscle reflex. On top of that, there's the chipping aspect of the game. The game punishes turtle'n, so there's only a few mindsets a player is given. Either set up the opponent for a huge combo or be set up for a huge combo.

It's a brilliant spectacle of a fighting game, but not enough technical skill involved when you compare it Third Strike or even Alpha 3. Don't even get me started on Smash Bros. I give it as credit as Mario Party games.

You beat my # 4 (Which I hadn't used in....weeks? But I dont consider that an excuse like others) in online play (2-3 bar?) , congrats lol. Bring it to a tourney/arcade and see what happens against my Rufus / Balrog lol.

I beat Jason Wilson 4/5 the other day in online play; he beat me 8/10 in offline play the next day. The difference is night and day. I am a tourney scene player, not a PSN/XBOX Live player.

Third Strike is great, but it is not more technical than MvC2. Alpha3 is great, but plays like MUGEN (easy scoop and corner launchers) for God's sake.

Take Yun - His combo is the longest in the game, and extremely easy to do. You have more frames of input to pull them off.

Now take Magneto - His combos are hella more technical to pull off than any of Yun's combos.

Edit - Actually, I'll give you red parrying being more technical than a lot of MVC2 stuff.

this game is a lot tougher than i remember it to be. going to take awhile to get used to the controls again, having the darnedest time getting super moves & combos pulled off.

I've never understood the satisfcation behind the trophies for Ps3/360 games... I never even noticed someone's "Trophy count" (if there even is one?) online, so it isn't like people are looking at your profile going "omg teh trophies, dude is leet!".

(I just hit lvl9, trying to catch up to my friend who's lvl12)

At any rate, you can view the trophies of your friends via friend list. 2nd page of profile shows a tally, and you can compare trophies on a game-per-game basis.

Edit - SF4 should really use this netcode (I'm guessing its GGPO) because it almost feels like playing in the arcade on this game online.....excellent
