There is no way a simple scrub can get by an old veteran, but that's as much credit I'm going to give the game.
By gameplay design, it's not really that impressive since it relies on pure speed and trained muscle reflex. On top of that, there's the chipping aspect of the game. The game punishes turtle'n, so there's only a few mindsets a player is given. Either set up the opponent for a huge combo or be set up for a huge combo.
It's a brilliant spectacle of a fighting game, but not enough technical skill involved when you compare it Third Strike or even Alpha 3. Don't even get me started on Smash Bros. I give it as credit as Mario Party games.
