InfinityX Network - 100mbps Home Connection

We were told the InfinityX network would not restrict bandwidth usage of anyone paying for it.

I was told my 10 mbps had unlimited bandwith, both in the advertising and my contract, but it didn't stop them from cutting me off, though I think the FCC slapped them on the wrist for that, it was a year or two ago

Pretty sure FFXI is designed for 56k, so not much/at all, not that it matters since botting is pretty widely accepted these days, for people who still camp for inferior items (save dring, ebody comes from odin)

Honestly I'd want to know what the upload speed is. I would rather have something like 30 down 30 up than to have 100 down and 2 up. It seems like you would never actually need 100 down, unless you have like 8 downloads going at once all over 1MBps, and still wanted to play a game.

How much is the upload? If it was 100 up too, then I'd consider it, provided there were no caps or any of that bullshit.

100 down is incredibly overkill anyway, would fill up a 1TB HDD in a little over 24 hours <_< not like you would even be able to download that much nonstop at capped speeds lol, well, i guess you COULD but, still, lol.

I don't know what to tell you. Any problems I had were quickly fixed. If I had to suffer any network downtime, they took a substantial amount off my bill.

It's because people don't know where to call or who to talk to when they have an issue.

Like I said, I'm NO company man, but calling the 800 number after you havent paid your bill in 2 months then giving some 18 year old kid attitude and wondering why they didnt help you isn't rocket science.

The company I work for provides 64% of the US population with cable, tv and phone service. That's 24/7, we never close. Shit goes down from time to time from random drunks crashing into poles - to you live in an old ass apartment with bad lines that the landlord never had re-run. Some leeway is in order

And if you even think the billing is fucked up, try Verizon.

Actually, as I said, I deal with apartments for Comcast. Most FiOs installs end up using our existing lines out of pure laziness - resulting in fiber from the drop to coax at the house, bottle necking the signal to the exact same as it would be from Comcast anyway.

Then, when I go out on an audit, and cut the then active lines since they arent active comcast subscribers but showing a solid signal - they blame my company. Thanks Verizon!

Cant? Congrats. You have comcast and are being billed for fiber optic to the house from Verizon.

Funny thing is our Fios box is inside our garage and we get 20 down 5 up and have had 0 issues since switching from TW which had random cutouts on a weekly basis. 20 mbps is overkill though at times because I hardly see those speeds unless I am doing p2p and connecting to multiple different connections.

And it should be a good service since youre paying out the ass for it - above and beyond the price you were supposed to. You could tell me you don't, except I spend 40 hours a week in my home office for Comcast dealing with exactly this subject. and I know you do.

I'm not on work hours so I'm not gonna begin a debate over FioS and Comcast, one pays me, one doesn't - but the billing issues with FioS are legendary. Enough so that they were slapped with a class action suit within 2 months of operation around here.

i pay nearly 60 for 20mbs with Comcast already. I really need to switch to FIOS.

Edit: Just opened my latest bill. I'm paying $59.95 for 12-15mbs from Comcast. seriously.....
