    Random USB reinstalls anyone?

For about 2-3 weeks now while I am playing, my keyboard, (possibly all my USB devices), uninstall and reinstall randomly. I tried to google info, if anyone's had a similar issue, but came up with about 50 billion things that had nothing to do with what I was talking about...

I know it's happening to a friend too, we both just brushed it off as a weird glitch and never thought to mention it. We both have Logitech keyboards, but different species.

I did find 1 post on the Logitech forums, but its had no responses.

Yeh on my laptop when I often move it from place to place, sometimes my mouse has to be "reinstalled".

Done it for 2 odd years on and off. Never saw a problem. Stopped when I went to Vista however, it was more frequent on XP.

Are you keeping them in the same USB ports the entire time, or unplugging+plugging them into a new port for whatever reason? When you reconnect a device into the USB port that it wasn't originally in, it'll usually have to reinstall. Couldn't tell you why, though.

Naw. Its a workstation, not a laptop, if that helps. The Keyboard has been plugged into the same port since creation. and to boot, my friend thats having the same issue is trudging along on a nearly 7 year old computer and has suddenly started having the same issue. I thought maybe it was some obscure virus or something intercepting/key logging, but our computers are on the same security, regularly scanned, and 100% legal software wise (a rare thing these days), and test clean on Eset, Malwarebytes.

The only thing I could think of is there might have been a driver update in a windows update that I don't know about. Is there any way to look up such information? Like if logitech had a driver update in a windows patch?
