nah its cool Insane, I'll hold him down with what I can D: I'm still learning most of the characters I only have some basic from doing story mode with all characters only ones I can play "average" are noel and rachel atm

also I've learned that invites on PS3 only work if you're not mid match, so that's good to know when I try making a room with 3+ players again.

oh and Milks any technics I should know about to get out of those corner pinchs by arakune, cause it felt like there was no way to get out of that.

edit: another question to anyone who knows, if I'm hosting or in a players match room, how exactly do I download people's replays when it shows they have replay icon? I know how to download replays from the ranking board but can't figure it out in match rooms. Also how do I post up my own replay for anyone to download?

Though I've found that the number of spammers in this game is drastically low compared to other fighting games, I still find this pic quite hilarious.

I haven't figured out how you decide to post a replay online for anyone to view, I'm gonna just go out on a limb and assume it's related to your overall rank, same deal as with SFIV. For recording your own matches, replay privileges have to be set before the match starts, so someone can decide to be a pansy and not allow replays to be posted if they don't want their online exploits to become a point of hilarity among your friends (like a Hakumen I got a double perfect on while playing Sunday).

yeah I think I just have to guard until the curse wears off, I haven't seen anyone do that to me yet so it's good to know from now on

can't just guard, the whole point of the corner lock is to guard crush you...so that i can get a free combo. your guard will break much faster than the curse will run out.

barrier guard won't tip the libra, but I don't have to barrier guard the whole thing, just some of it, and should still be "somewhat" safe from being guard crushed. ofcourse the idle thing is to not get caught in the corner so I'll work on that too.

._.; score attack is breaking my spirit... can't even get past taokaka (how the hell did I beat hell arcade mode unlimited Nu in 1 try but get face raped by score attack?)

got two controllers? if you're about to lose, just hit start on player 2 and do a versus fight. when the fight is over, you'll be back at the fight you left off on, which i assume would be taokaka. if you're having trouble with her, wait until unlimited rachel and even worse, unlimited ragna.

What is an Unlimited Char? I've seen it mentioned during netplay. I assume it's something similar to Gold/Shadow characters from Guilty Gear?

I want to use Ragna as a secondary character, but I still love my Arakune. Does anyone have some tips towards Ragna, or is he rather simple?

Hmm, I know some basics that I've heard with him. 5B seems really safe. Same with 5C. I'm still working on a good basic pressure string with him other than the standard 5B, 5C, 2C, 5D, dash cancel. I'm slowly working on making him my secondary but this game still feels too foreign for me. You also have to learn how to bring 22C into your game after 3C (good move to continue combo even though dmg starts to get scaled after 22C).

423C/D (forgot what it's called, is it Inferno Divider?) is a good move but I would say don't throw it out randomly like most players out there (so far I've met 8 Ragnas, and only 2 of them didn't throw that out randomly) because you can eat a ton of damage if you whiff that move (counter hit state). So far that's all I have with Ragna (juggle wise, there's a ton of possibilities with him. Like off of 1BC (back throw) or 5BC (front throw) then following it up with Gauntlet Hades or juggles off of 423C/D, 234C, 234C. 5D also has a lot of good juggle possibilities. Here's a good combo for you: 5B, 4A, 5C, 5D (1 hit) Gauntlet Hades, 5C, 9CD, 9D, 423D, 234C, 216C), I play Jin almost exclusively since I like Buppa and Nise Pachi from Gamechariot that made me want to play Jin. Btw, supposedly this game's going to get an update around early August, nerfing Arakune/Nu-13/Rachael among other things.

Weltall- dude seriously would've been nice to play your noel. I don't have any noel practices besides random players online and all of them tend to spam D's. Sucks that our connection in this game just can't seem to connect bah, oh wells.

I just do not like Arakume. I have nothing to counter him once he goes flying around and droping BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES everywhere. Only person I can come close to beating an arakume is using Jin and I dislike using him.

How do I unlock Hakumen and Nu's story mode? Play them through arcade? I haven't played Rachel, Arakune, or Carl yet in story mode.

pretty sure you have to get a "clear" ending for every character so if it says "progress" on a character I don't think that counts.

I used this guide, it covers step by step how to get 100% story for each character iirc but 100% isn't needed to unlock hakumen/nu's story or the "true ending"

oh one more thing do Arakune's story before you do Litchi's... (I'm not sure if it's the clear or one of the alternative endings you have to do... I ended up getting 100% on arakune's story before it finally allowed me to clear Litchi's story) other then that there doesn't seem to be any cross character completions needed.
