dumped several hours into this today between arcade, training, online and story, absolutely loving it. i'm getting better but i'm still not good by any stretch of the imagination, still having a blast all the same though.

can't wait to get the hand-me-down LCD coming my way in a few weeks, i get the feeling my little 24" walmart CRT doesn't quite do the game justice, haha.

Got to have something new once in awhile that isn't just a rehash of characters w/ move sets that have slight adjustments.
It goes to 1080i, but the PS3 version has a couple bugs on release, the resolution thing being one of them. Aksys Games is apparently going to be releasing a patch this week to fix all the PS3 bugs (which also includes the game being released running on an older net code).

Shes easy to chain that's all. But this like Guilty Gear isn't one-sided unless you are really really good with timing.

Edit: Sorry for double post I'm not sure what happened.

Edit 2: If anyone wants, we can set up a lobby and just start some matches. Please just message me saying you saw my psn for BG and lets play. Remember it's a 6 man lobby online where winner fights the next opponent waiting in the lobby.

Well, I only mention the cutscenes because the entire thing reeks of a very strong anime nature. *stares at the character designs* ... I was expecting... actual animation :D

Plus, Guilty Gear had a really weird story but for some reason had a pretty big fanbase just from the storyline. BlazBlue's a little more developed in comparison to most fighting games.

Just something I was looking forward to but got let down. The game itself is pure awesome to me though so it still gets a 10/10 ranking in my book

It's more developed because they try harder to integrate a background and the relationships between characters so people can become attached. It's really not different than what they did with street fighter with the exception that as you mentioned, this is very anime driven, and for that along with the game dynamics, I prefer this to street fighter.

Been trying out Rachel so far, and damn am I sucking lol. Torn between maining Rachel or Arakune, as they were honestly the 2 characters I was most interested in ever since I saw the game. Have only played a few online matches so far, and they've been nothing but Noels and Ragnas.

Is there a guide to the story modes somewhere? highest completion I've managed so far is 75%.

Did my first match online against a Tager and beat him barely. Was a laggy match but was at least able to move. Anyone else lag online? This was my 1st online so it was probably just him or me(I guess). I keep doing that barrier burst shit on mistake even with moving the buttons around I still do it >(.

Haukumen(?) on arcade mode seems worse than in the story. Lost to that mother fucker 4 times before I beat him but story took me 2 tries.

There's no complete guide that I know of yet. Well there probably is but I'm not paying for one for a fighting game. Anyway it'll probably have something to do with the way in which opponents are defeated. Some will probably require a different method like a distortion finishing etc.

The online matches on average, for me don't lag but I've got a good connection. Usually when I get a laggy match it's the other person. As far as playing those matches? Well as long as you're not mashing you can still fight pretty well, just in slow motion so it takes double the time to complete a match. Also the time elapsed in a match will slow down when the game is laggy which I'm not sure yet is a good or bad thing.

    For people playing with sticks:

What button layout do you use? (I'll post mine later, because I forgot exactly what they are)

Waiting on Amazon to ship mine. I like the fact everyone more or less is starting fresh on this game, so the "Weltall's" of BB are still learning like everyone else lol.

It's not much different from Guilty gear lol. The only thing that I can say is really different are the defensive tactics which got much more developed in this game.

The game needs about 10 more characters, but other than that, A+
