first BB:CS tournament posted on youtube, from what i've seen so far.

New character colors are AWESOME!
THE NEW ANNOUNCER IS TERRIBLE! Sounds like Noel's japanese voice actress trying to speak english.

Noel doesn't seem so bad, combos are obviously different, instant optic barrel is awesome, can still do good damage, 5C is pretty killer.

Tager seems the same w/ new gimmicks, some nerfed damage.

lollambda11(nu13) more effort needed to play, nerfed damage, but decent, i guess? lol

Tsubaki's a fucking mix-up machine, possibly top tier already.

Tao's prolly gonna be top tier since she's barely changed, cat spirit 2 is still good, due to almost everyone being nerfed, she's better.

Litchi's just as good, and possibly be top tier as well due to almost everyone being nerfed.

Jin and Ragna seems a bit different, haven't seen much on them yet to determine besides the new moves.


Although in the videos i did not see Bang, Hakumen, Hazama or Arakune in action, from what i've read Bang is a lot better, possibly higher in the tier list now. Arakune is decent still, Hazama is prolly Arakune's worst match up due to Hazama closing in and stepping out fast. I don't know about Hakumen however.

Carl: From what i've read so far, his ground loops are easier to pull off and his damage has improved slightly. his clap-trap loop is completely gone but not really affected since the ground traps are still there, projectile is shot from nirvana and reaches full stage, so it can be shot off-screen.

CS is definately going to need a new announcer if they want me to purchase it, and I'm being serious.

It took me long enough to get used to the whole Wheel of Fate is Turning opening (apparently a GG tradition with its Heaven or Hell), but it was done with probably one of the best announcers I've heard in a fighting title. How the heck do they go from that, to something that made me want to grind my teeth in an instant?

Hope there's an option to just opt in the old voice and have it play no audio for the new character names (or just rehire her for a couple lines), since they had no problem recycling some of the music from CT.
(which is a good thing, I don't think their composer could have topped the versus-screen music. Don't fix what ain't broken)

I have no idea what emotion that cat is representing.

But yeah, as far as fighter announcers go, for me, most are too bland/generic for my tastes (Tekken/VirtuaFighters, the VS line of games that I've played {most of them}). One exception for me is MK 2 & 3.

lol, i'm pretty sure you're gonna get CS either way, when it came to gg, I had to suck it up when accent core came out w/ the new over-enthusiastic announcer AND new voice actors for every character which really pissed me off.

Guess it probably wasn't a good thing that I was trying to get an impression of what GG was like by trying out Accent Core+ first then. <.<

It'll really come down to the asking price for me. $40'ish would be ok by my books since it's just a retuned BB:CS for the most part. But god, I don't think I can go through with grinding online matches for trophies like I'm trying to finish up with BB:CS before it becomes obsolete.

Yeah, the announcer is annoying, hopefully for console release you'll have a choice of which announcer (though it seems doubtful).

Tager looks...similar, although I'm not quite sure what the perks are to using his 22C or 22D or whatever it is, unless it applies magnetism to the target.

Tsubaki looks like a beast though, what exactly is the thing she does when she just kind of floats in the air though? I'm guessing it's some sort of charge move like tagers 263B?

Tsubaki's an exact double of order sol from guilty gear accent core. the move that has her floating is when she opens her book to charge her level meter, she needs her level meter to use more powerful versions of her regular specials. pretty awesome.

Pretty safe to say that Unlimited Tsubaki will have infinite book meter I guess.

Where do you guys usually buy your fighting sticks anyway? I went to the Hori website and they just provided a bunch of other websites I could buy their stuff from.

Bought my HRAP3 on play-asia about 1 year ago, eventually had to change a few buttons after a few months, just recently modded it with new balltop/plexi/image etc.

BTW, gamechariot vids up on youtube for BB:CS, lots of kaqn using ragna action, also jin and hakumen, he's beasting every match!! and lots of shadow using bang action, bang seems really high tier now, he's too good, and his redone voice is incredible! Keita on Tao, some R-1 playing Noel AND BEASTING THE NEW NOEL!!! Minori on Lambda as well. For the first couple of days, these guys seem to feel right at home, especially kaqn already doing some belial edge combos.
