Don't forget to exploit the 2-player trick. If you're about to get raped, hit start on the second controller (with VS. mode set to 1 round) to interrupt the game with a versus match, then finish off the match, and then the game will resume Score Attack on whoever you were last fighting.

Another tip about beating score atk, if unlimited ragna wins the first round use the 2player trick dont risk it, ohh and use TAGER!!

believe it or not i was able to beat it the first time with no trick with tager

but had some problems when i tried with v-13. it's easy with tager especially if u use the right stick shortcut(dunno if xbox version got it) because by pressing up he can do the 360 grab in a instant.

Oh god. I forgot about that. I was facing my younger cousin on Thanksgiving and he was spamming the right stick tager bomb. He wanted to play because he saw me playing it and wanted to be Tager since he was "The huge guy" XD

What's the standard joystick layout for this?

Picked me up the SFIV joystick, and so far I got it as

ABCX
DXXX

At any rate, liking the joystick, other than the fact I get to return the thing as its circle button is unresponsive (this shit costs $100 in Canada, do they not test them?), and hunt down yet another EB Games that supplies one. I could mod it with some better buttons (would prefer the ones I'm used to from my college's arcade section, which has buttons which are slightly concaved in the center), but I'd rather have my money put towards a fully operational unit prior to modding.

I should have listened to the guy at the store at any rate, he mentioned getting a lot of these sticks returned as defected.

[EDIT] Well that's just dandy. My PC can recognize the controller and install the drivers, but it's accepting zero input from it. What a waste of cash. Was going to use it for MAME stuff when not in use by the PS3, but this just killed the value of it to me.

Bleh, of course it works on my Mac no problem....., aside from the one dead button. Looking for a workaround for my PC given Mad Catz is essentially playing the "Don't care" approach since the PS3 stick wasn't designed nor marketed for PC use to begin with. So far no luck even when using tools that allow you to pair DualShock3s.

like i said, try to put the effort into making your own stick. nothing is more reliable than that.

I would have, but given I lack any experience, as well as the cutting tools required, the complete package was a lot more appealing.
(not to mention having to figure out the whole PCB board business and getting my hands on one of those for PS3)

Will be doing my own in the future for the MAME cabinet on that never-ending to-do list of mine.

And of course after slamming the circle button hard enough it starts working again, for now....

God it's so nice to be able to pull off 623416 maneuvers flawlessly.

I just want to know when they're just going to give the colour editor to *us* to play with. Have the game procedurally colour the sprites during the loading phase based on our own palette or something.

i always felt bang was a troll character, sort of like dan in sf4, but just to a lesser extent

never really expected to see bang as top tier. though litchi i'm not surprised, she has some pretty intense rushdown capabilities and lots of combo options.
