Amazing Ragna combos. Musics not for everyone though![]()
That was some sexy shit right there. Can't wait for this game. Makes me want to practice with Ragna even more.
hooooooooooooly shit ragna is following sol's footsteps on the dust loop, he got a fucking drive loop!! time to put practice on my secondary again, noel won't stop being my main tho. her being mid-tier puts me in a big zone of relief.
Kinda glad Lambda is mid tier, since I really like her. Though I dunno what's changed since CT.
there's some vids of her i posted, if there isn't i'll look for some. she has a couple new moves, damage got nerfed heavily, i think more recovery on the swords and a bit slower.
Damn it, now everyone is going to use my Litchi. I felt like a beautiful snowflake online.![]()
You'd be surprised, 2/3 CT top tiers (Arakune, Nu) required little to no skill to play and win pretty much, kudos to those that actually use arakune to his fullest. Rachel was a complete rarity to see used extremely well online to even show the reason why she's top tier.
Litchi and Bang pretty much require a lot more skill to play, those characters are not for everyone. They used to be low-mid tier characters and pretty much still play the same way, so i doubt THAT many people will pick them up because of relearning a somewhat harder character to use. However, this is from my personal experience, because I tried using both Litchi and Bang while looking for my 2nd, they didn't suit my style.
Hakumen can be a little stupid however.
I'm glad I still have Ragna as my 2nd.
Nu was alot harder to play than Arakune imo. She doesnt have loops, low attacks from the sky, throw-> distortion, and corner traps. That is how I base something off as "cheap". Not to mention the same old 5dd->4dd->236d isnt going to win you games unless the other person is really bad. Good Nus knew how to apply pressure, do the most damaging combos and catch the opponent off guard with melee attacks as much as her ranged.
As for her changes i can list the ones i know of i guess:
236d is now a set amount of spaces away only moves slightly towards opponent takes guard premier and only the first hit hits low
gravity well is know a reversal and if the actual hit part of it hits them theyll float, also has a 10 second recharge now
5dd 4dd only combos on a crouching opponent
more recovery on 6d
more proration overall especially j2c
j214d is a fatal counter and takes guard premier
214a/b/c act parsers either dont hit, hit for low, are Anti air they will NOT go on the other side of the character anymore the hit ones take guard premier
214d takes 1 guard premier and 214d~c takes 2
All i know of for sure really, they were supposed to take off the 5dd 6dd ect combo away from her throw but i saw it used in a video i watched so i have no clue about that.
or unless the other person plays a really impatient and aggressive tager. Not to mention the same old 5dd->4dd->236d isnt going to win you games unless the other person is really bad.
I love litchi, she just takes a little more time to be able to feel out all of the combos so you can really do them impromptu; tager, on the other hand, you pretty much learn your bnb combo and learn how to continue that combo from just about anywhere in the string where you happen to land a hit, after you learn that tager just becomes a zoning and tech-chase game that you have to learn.
Litchi is awesome, but definitely harder to learn than most of the other characters (save for tao, she gave me a lot of trouble too for some reason)
Decided to play again after a few days, my execution has dwindled a bit, but not heavily. 360 people, lets get a room going!!! I need ragna practice.
my 270 is gettin shipped away for some maintenance, then i can play again :D
especially since i'll get my own TE stick after x-mas
Swapped for another SFIV stick (non-TE model. I ain't that rich nor got the room for one), and so far so good. If this puppy don't break down after a couple months, it's getting a button upgrade job.
