get the sanwa replacement stick mod for it fast, cuz the stick itself won't last you a month. lol

How easy is it to install? I plan on replacing the stick/buttons eventually, but I don't really own much in terms of soldering tools and what not.
On a more BB related note, I think I'm going to start learning Tao as my first 'serious' character. Had dustloop open earlier and was trying out the combos, and was surprised to see how much freedom I had with regards how I could execute some of the combos in the guide I was following. After learning 5 of actions (sure takes a friggen while to get them down pat ;/ ) I found myself mix and matching parts of the combos with glee as they worked. Never had a chance to appreciate the fighting system since I just played it how I felt like it earlier, which usually meant mashing buttons or stick with 4-6 hit combos rather than 10+ ones that are good for pressuring people to use Barrier Break.
So much easier when diagonals are a joke to input.....I'm actually starting to enjoy the square gate on the joystick after I got over the learning curve for it.

You don't even need to do that...the mechanical parts are identical, the only difference is the stick pcbs, and they're inter-changeable.
Difference is the PCB will cost you $12~ instead of $30~...you're welcome. No need to unscrew anything either, just take off the harness, pop out, pop in.

fucking hell, i love mike z so much
that spinning drive -> rapid into a 360B is a beast move, he always gets really creative with tager
Lambda seems to be owning still in the Japanese tournys and someone actually won with rachel by flying off the stage for ~20 seconds with the hp lead.
bleh y did they mess with tager damage, i always took the high dmg to compensate on his slowness.
yeah srsly, but as per usual mike z makes tager look higher tier than he actually will be, i don't really like that finger move at all, sure it magnetizes but it just stands them up with no opportunity to tech-chase, i want my collider->forward C->D string back
Gadget finger allows you to mix them up well and easily just gotta be creative. If you think theyre gonna DP block and punish, if you think theyll jump atomic colider, stand there and attack or gaurd 360a/b/c, and back dash = 5d.
Atomic colider is now a move that heavily prorates a combo if used multiple times without a tech so just not teching is alot safer for your opponent now.
from the looks of things most of your options after finger involve high-risk high-reward situations, which isn't bad if you're up against predictable opponents (online comes to mind), but it doesn't look like you have many safe options out of finger as most/all of tager's pokes are beat out by other character's pokes
again it's early, so we'll see, i see the options but i don't see many being safe enough for me to want to do on a regular basis. with tager you have to play it mostly safe and pick your moments, because a lot of combos on tager are generally much higher damage because of his big hitbox (which seems like it was shrunk a bit)
From mike z on dustloop:
ACTUAL INFO:
- You can hold the button down and he'll keep his hand out. This is how you do things like Sledge, Gadget. There's no harm in holding it (at least a little bit) all the time.
- Gadget does NOT affect an airborne opponent at all. No pull unless they are touching the floor. However, it will add velocity to the first few frames of a neutral teching opponent.
- Gadget will NOT grab an opponent that is not on their back on the ground. If they tech and you hold the Gadget, it will still drag them in (they are touching the floor) but it won't grab - you're letting them have a free hit.
- Gadget cancelling a combo-ending 5D is kinda awesome - you can immediately 2D or sj.C,C to get close quickly.
- If you are fast you can RC Gadget into either Spinny or AC. 360B, Gadget RC AC is 4.4K unburstable damage.
didnt even think you could rapid cancel it.
i suppose this means you'll just have to be crafty with gadget, doesn't surprise me given tager's playstyle of tricksyness and techchasing
also, nitsuki i found out today that the only thing wrong with my xbox is apparently my powerbrick, i may or may not be on for the next few days (borrowing a friends power brick atm), but next week i should be able to get myself a new one and we can play again if you want
as i found out today my tager's still pretty ok, litchi could use some serious work though
i'm down, haven't seen xerlic on anymore, i wanna brush up on ragna in preparing for BB:CS. lol I haven't played in a while since mw2 came out so my execution's a bit rusty.
Would anyone on the ps3 wana try my ragna out, that is if my ps3 stops acting funny and doesnt freeze.
I'm still waiting on Christmas to be able to use my arcade stick. I'll be working heavily on Litchi and Bang after that if anyone needs a low level punching bag.
bumpppp ill start posting vids that i watch that are decent
