Whelp, I'm ticked. Checked three separate locations, not one had the game in. -.-

Canada friggen blows for getting games in on time. Seems anything that isn't AAA isn't instock two weeks ahead of time for its launch.

While I'm sitting here gameless (probably going to boot up SF3:3S later via arc emulator), can someone recommend me a multi-platform (PS2/3/PC at least) arcade stick? Preferably one that won't break the bank, has that good squishy-button feel, and a rounded base for the joystick. (can't stand the box ones, makes rolling forwards a bitch to do)

ranked match is crazy i just beat a guy lvl 32 and i was lvl 4, got 6 lvl out of that fight. gotta love tager

haven't played enough to really know, but after playing noel all i did do was spam D and i won so i get the gist >_>

also, how are people really learning combos and whatnot? i don't really have any sort of feel for the game because i didn't play GG and SF4 had those trials for a good baseline of certain bread and butter combos until i could figure out some of the longer/more difficult combos so i wasn't always losing

Play arcade mode and finish it with the character you want the astral heat.

Liking Jin so far, although I can't seem to do his bread n' butter combo of 9(numpad direction) -> B -> C -> 9 -> B -> C -> A, i always end up with 9B instead of 9->B or i jump too late =/

i have a feeling this game is going to take a lot of practice

This game has to be setting the record for the most trophies/achievements you have to go obscenely out of your way to complete/would never earn playing normally. A few of them...

Spoonful of Sugar - Stayed afloat for over 25 seconds with Rachel.
I Can Rebuild Her... - As Carl, decommissioned Nirvana three times in one round.
Irresistible - Hit the opponent with Tager's "Spark Bolt" more than six times in one round.
Ride the Icening - Used Musou Senshouzan or Tosshougeki over 20 times in one round, and finished the opponent off.

Though truth be told all the Jin spammers online would have no trouble getting that last one.

lol thats actually harder to do with jin than one would imagine.

I freaking love Tao, she reminds me of Cinder from Killer Instinct. Heres some random thoughts from my first day of playing:

~Hakumen is impossible to beat on hard arcade mode.
~Tager on Hard mode just killed my using 1 throw and 1 super.
~Everyone online spams D with the gun chick.
~Every1 using the Vampire girl online is crazy good.
~Holy crap Ragna has Blood Weapon?!
~I have a block shield!
~I just a 10 hit combo for a quarter inch of damage, wtf?
~My wife just watched me for 5 mins and actually wants to play too!
~Thank gawd im not throwing quarters at this while learning in an Arcade.

I'm a noob to this game (and guilty gear for that matter) so if your in tha same boat as me, look me up on PS3, name is Straylox.
