For the love of god and all that is holy, everytime I play online and it's NOT a Noel, it feels like goddamn christmas.

Interestingly enough though, here's a list someone compiled of character distribution for the first week of release.

I freaking love Tao, she reminds me of Cinder from Killer Instinct. Heres some random thoughts from my first day of playing:

~Hakumen is impossible to beat on hard arcade mode.
~Tager on Hard mode just killed my using 1 throw and 1 super.
~Everyone online spams D with the gun chick.
~Every1 using the Vampire girl online is crazy good.
~Holy crap Ragna has Blood Weapon?!
~I have a block shield!
~I just a 10 hit combo for a quarter inch of damage, wtf?
~My wife just watched me for 5 mins and actually wants to play too!
~Thank gawd im not throwing quarters at this while learning in an Arcade.

I'm a noob to this game (and guilty gear for that matter) so if your in tha same boat as me, look me up on PS3, name is Straylox.

I was able to beat Hakumen in hell mode with Tager, and yea he's crazy hard. Btw did you guys knew you could play this game with the PSP on remote play. I was messing with it this morning and to my surprise i didnt get lag, just in case i was playing arcade mode not online.

I thought i was owning stuff w/Tao until I tried hard arcade mode... seriously just forget V-13... retarded as all hell... Does playing other character's stories fill in the missing parts of certain characters? cause I liked Tao's story, but it left w/ me w/more questions then answers.. Seemed like a pretty deep story underneath all her light-hearted charm.

Seriously? I burned thru Arcade Mode on Hell Difficulty only managing to lose like 2 rounds the entire time, but I've managed to nab a pretty firm grasp on Tager's game now, just those damn standing 720s getting in my way now.

And Yeah, I think everyone's story gets more filled out as you play thru all the other modes, I did Litchi's story mode first and was missing out on a few points, but going back and playing thru the story mode of the characters she encounters fills things out a little better, still got a long haul to unlock V-13/Hakumen's + the True ending though.

Don't you only need to beat each characters story mode once for the True ending... you don't need 100% on each character? lol I hear the true ending is like an hr long

Was playing online w/ Tao and finally found somebody who didnt play Noel at all... we went at it for like a hr, was a blast. Tao is awesome, but I swear to god Rachel is the anti-Tao character in the game.

I know you only need to beat story mode once with the basic 10 to unlock the boss story modes, but I don't know if you need a full 100% for the true ending, I've mostly been sticking to playing my roommate and going online (lv. 20!).

I'm a big fan of the match selection system, giving me the chance to pick and choose my opponents for (theoretically) even matches against people my general level or setting myself up for an ass-whupping against people right at the top.

The Noel players who spam Chain Revolver all day long give people who want to play her seriously a bad name. It's rewarding playing a Noel mirror match tho and catching them in the face with 6A into Air Combo or Chain Revolver Juggle over and over, though.

I should hit up the 1-player modes. I've pretty much just been doing network games non-stop.

It saddens me that every Noel player is trying to be pro by just spamming chain revolver. I'm glad that i'm taking Noel seriously, and not a chain revolver spamming faggot, but I do need to work on my game a lot better. 6A is godly for Noel tho.

I will make her good within time, just like i was w/ May, I just was a pad player before in guilty gear. Now i'm on stick so i'm still adjusting.

btw, I really hate Jin players and their free-zing attacks. -_-

Checking once more tomorrow since that's when the next game shipment is due to arrive, and if not, then I'm just going to order it off Amazon.ca and wait a couple weeks for shipping, at least I'll be bloody guaranteed the game eventually.

Two last questions before I leave y'all to play: 1) Does PS3 version have an install option? If not, are the load times bearable at least? (Anything longer than a 5sec screen of two character portraits eyeing each other down is too long). 2) "The Wheel of Fate is Turning", any way to turn that off? It got annoying for me already just by watching YouTube videos. (not to mention it's just another 3 seconds of waiting for the actual battle to friggen start)

No install for the ps3 version unless I'm looking at the wrong place. No that's the normal battle prep thing just like "Heaven or Hell!" from GG.

For anyone that has beaten a unlimited ragna or v-13-(nu) hat's off to you fuckers hard even on normal.

I was secretly hating you last night when I saw you online playing Insanecyclone. >.>

Never played a GG fighter before (there's just too many of them, same reason I never got into KoF), so I wasn't aware that it's a bit of a 'tradition' for the devs to do that with all their titles, nvm then in that case.

Will be fun getting some of those trophies though ;/. I think I'm going to try and cheap-ass as many as possible by playing with myself and obtaining all the ones possible via that, rather than hoping for random luck vs. CPU/Ranked Match.

Jin players who only know how to shoot ice projectiles and then run up and do the quick hit spam (never played him so don't know w/ SINGLE button u have to spam) make me want to /emorage. Noel Chain revolver spammers are annoying, but i can usually take em pretty easily w/ Tao... Getting kinda annoyed w/Ragna players who looovveee to only use his 2 hit combo that takes like 1/6th of your life each time u don't block it.

I laugh at seeing like level 20 players who set up rooms that allow easy Super's.. are they really "that" hard to pull off? Don't seem like it to me... well aside Tao's Astral Heat (If somebody pulled Tao's Astral Heat on me and it connected, hats off to em)

you should see tager astral, i dont know how the hell to put it off unless i smash all the buttons and hope for no barrier break.

I read somewhere that it's actually possible to combo into Tager's, but just thinking about the frame specific timing you'd need to do to not accidentally just RC the move you're leading with gives me seizures.

And all things considers, I think spammers can get shut down fairly easily in this game once you have a general idea of what's going on. It varies character to character but I can pretty much shut down almost any kind of spamming with Tager now, though Drive spamming Tao can still be a bit of a challenge. Now for other characters without invulnerability to projectiles, Nu/V-13 could be a totally different story. But people who gave genuinely good pressure games are going to demolish me since I'm still working on the instant block > Tager Driver defense, and that's really the only valid defense he has against head on pressure.

you gain the minimum amount of exp which is 10 + any bonuses from certain conditions like "first attack", "Distortion finish", "No Barrier Burst", "Perfect round/match", etc.

The only negative thing is that your W/L record does appear on your scorecard, and your ranked W/L record is separate from your player match W/L record. So casuals do count on your scorecard as well, I might make a lobby tonight for BG, if not tomorrow. Lemme know if you wanna join, chances are i have your tag already in my list. I got no mic til tomorrow, cuz i'm borrowing my gfs wireless one, I never bothered w/ the mic port on my arcade stick. lol
