PS3 Issues x.x

So I finally get a PS3, and I plug in the wires and all that jazz and it doesn't work. The video screen stays blue, like i don't have anything plugged in.

Now, I tried the reset where you hold the button and wait for the beeps etc etc. I'm using the cable with the R, W and Y tips, so it's not like i switched it around from HD to SD.

I also tried a different cable (one from a PS2) and that didn't work. Is my shit just dead? Anyone have a clue (other than the hold the friggin button down) if I can fix it?

Did you try switching modes on your TV? When I used to have mine hooked up with RWY cables before I made the switch to HD I had to switch to Video 3. Would not work on Video1 or Video 2

You haven't turned on the PS3 yet. Turn it on. I am not joking.

Maybe I should tell you how: Turn the power switch located on back of the PS3 to the on position. Now either lighly press the front power button or insert a disc.

i did all of that... and yes it's on v.v

i'm pretty sure it's working there's just no video showing on the TV. I've tried the hard reset and the video reset. I'm pretty sure it's just a POS, i'll just send it back.

*edit, i also tried new wires and a different TV, same shit happens.

Try a new TV. Easier than sending it back and waiting for a new one.
