Macha's coat low-man

Read people off-handedly mentioning duoing for a Macha's coat. I'm getting into salvage recently after doing it at the start and taking a 14 month break, coming back and seeing lots of finished sets. I tried to weed through a search for Macha's coat, but couldn't find anything that really matched, so I'm sorry if this has been answered, but I'm wondering what the general idea is for trying to duo it? It sounded like a BLM/RDM low-man duo/trio kinda thing?

Really anything with some form of dot can solo a QQTH.

I used to do it on rdm/nin for obvious increased survivability. blm/rdm is doable bit a bit more dangerous because of triple attack ntm it hits like a fucking truck.

I'd advise you to just solo it, as bringing in more then one requires you to probably farm more cells which for a rdm isn't that hard but 2 blm may have trouble farming lamia for a second magic if you don't get two from the box.

For the 3rd floor just nuke / DoT when it leaves the room run to the indent on north side and stand there, it will get to about there in the big room then turn around.

4th floor sort of the same thing except when it leaves the room run to the opposite corner and invis up it will -usually- come back with no aggro, it will occasionally stay in the other room too so kinda watch for that, they like to do what they want sometimes.

Never tried it personally, I would think blm/rdm would be better because you have blink/SS/cure etc. Blm/nin all you would really have is shadows + drain. It will more then likely hit you unless you have movement, which is even iffy because you arent promised a leg cell unless you kill the QQA which doesnt always drop it.

Alright. . .how long can I expect it to try and pummel me for before it runs off again? Sleep/Bind/Gravitying it work waste time instead of it hitting me, or does it go by hits/damage before it runs off again? Or completely random? lol

It seems random to me, RDM can reliably solo QQA x2 and QQTHx2 and have a good shot at chariot though. I'd recommend bringing a THf with you for placebo TH and stealing body cells.

Hardest part about doing any salvage run solo is getting 5 ppl to d/c for you

I'd personally think Blm/Nin would be safer then Blm/Rdm. Shadows would be more reliable then Blink/SS on 3rd floor TH, as was stated he hits like a truck. With the gear you'll have you wouldn't have anywhere near capped SS, and he generally has about 5 attack rounds before deciding to leave, if one of those would be a tripple attack I couldn't see a Blm/Rdm living.

With a THF friend I've been able to do both QQAAs and QQTHs along with AC. I dual box a THF for TH but sometimes get really unlucky with Legs off of Gears so don't even bother attempting AC if I don't get them.

possible to do 2x qqa + 2x qqth + chariot without owning wlegs(have done it myself), unless you want leg cell for some other reason wouldn't worry so much about it

I always did it blm/nin since that is a must for QQA. Never tried blm/rdm and just QQTH but I imagine it to be a fail waiting to happen.
