Boring day, somehow ended up at the FES troll forum lol (shit's hilarious tho >.>). Ended up coming across this, dunno if it's been mentioned before.

Pretty self explanitory if you watch it, but basically this guy and his kids attached an HD camera to an iphone and put it on a weather baloon and let it fly. It reached about 100k feet, where you can clearly see the curvature, and managed to land 30 miles away.

Holy fucking awesome batman. Hooked up a device to a rat's brain. When it shines a blue light, it makes it run counterclockwise, holy shit.

Laughed especially hard at this, since we're doing relativity in E&M right now:

Woozie, the last three or four chapters of Griffiths E&M make my procrastination hate itself. Pretty much every problem we've done since starting the waves chapter has taken over 3 pages. Also I think this is the first physics book in my college career that we've actually gone cover to cover in (maybe skipped one or two sections in chapter 11 to get to SR).

Thank God we didn't get to the last few chapters, lol. What's frustrating is that there are easier problems in the book. The professors just specifically choose the really hard ones because they're terrorist who hate our freedom freetime.

My highschool physics teacher had that sticker on the wall over the chalkboard. It was awesome. He was a very good teacher. (He taught physics and chemistry and our scuba class)

Haha, yep. Pretty much every single homework assignment wanted us to rewrite electromagnetism based on some small, seemingly unimportant detail. Most ended up with the same equations for E/B fields that we already had

Your high school had a scuba class? Really jelly And from what I've found with high school teachers, the best physics teachers are the best chemistry teachers.

The only time I've been to Hawaii I had to leave the day before everybody went scuba diving. My choices were play in Miller Park, or see fuckin jellyfish

    Baseball I choose you.

Very true. Yeah I was super into Marine Bio, I grew up in Big Sur which is just south of Monterey Bay so I learned how to scuba dive in the bay and we even had field trips to the Monterey Bay aquarium at night when they were closed and MBARI research facilities and got to go on boat rides with them and stuff. That teacher was one of the best teachers I ever had.

On a side note the best biology teachers are usually only bio teachers and very eccentric.
