July 01 Billing - DOUBLE BILLED

I pay for multiple accounts, none of which have had any billing changes/movement on cards for over 6 monthes..


Every single one of them was double billed today on 7/1. 4 Accounts.

Anyone else?

I would be VERY careful about how you proceed from here. Many of the people who were hit with LM-17s last month and this month had it happen because SE had double-billed them at some point, refused to refund the extra charges, and so the account owners had their credit card companies charge back the extra fees. God only knows what will happen to your accounts if you follow the same path.

Damn you, I was just about to do a very clever post explaining the math. Screw it, I'll do it anyway. So you paid $13.95 for your content IDs and $9.95 for your token. That came up to $49.95.

13 + 9 = 22
2+2 (from the 22) = 4

4 + 9 (from the $9.95) = 49

and since they both had .95 on the end, you just carry that down, and BAM $49.95.

No it was actually just my girlfriend not changing CC info on her's in time and me getting billed correctly for 2 accounts.

Instead of having the cc company do a charge back, try to get SE to reimburse you for the charge via applying a credit to your account.

Call all you want, they are closed today cause it's July Four... um, July 3rd. Yeah, they are closed on July 3rd and Sat July 4th and Sunday July 5th and open at 12pm EST on July 6th.

This happened to me a few months ago. I guess I really need to check for July. I just thought they did it two months in advance so i wouldn't have to pay next month. If i can get my money back I really should check my bank history and see if i can get like a million dollars back from my 3 accounts over the past years.

. . .anyone who got double billed NOT get billed for June? I let my account expire because I was going on holiday, but it expired sooner than expected. I started it back up, but I didn't seem to get billed for June?

Single billed this month and in June but just found out I got double charged in May... I should've been keeping up with it. Oh well. Haven't made any changes to my account since I reactivated in 2007.
