I chortled
I chortled
And there was much rejoicing.
Wait, why was he banned?
The truth always hurts the most.
Being Honest flowers doesnt even deserve the title of game.
HIDDEN AGENDA
if we got to the point where pretty mediocre stuff like Super Stardust, Flower, Infamous, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword and PES 2009 get labelled as "Killer Applications", perhaps gaming has really gone down the tube.
Barring MGS4, GT5 Prologue (which wasn't even brought up, btw) and Killzone 2 (all of which are short as fuck, definitely not worth a 400 Euro/400 $ bundle) I'd much rather play Super Mario Kart, Vagrant Story, XCOM or Sensible Soccer than any of the shitty titles mentioned in this thread.
I might be getting old but you guys just swallow whatever the market throws at you...how can you be so tasteless, ffs?
im the only one who's never heard of this flower game, lol. but hearing you say it like that is hilarious haha
i agree to some extent though. i dont think we'll ever have another RPG with a story like the original Xenogears. But some has come close.. or.. well no....
not even gonna lie... ;
If i had to choose 1 game for the PS3 that i have available to me, i would jump on the bandwagon and choose MGS4. but i cant wait to see what 13 has in store for us!
I would never say Flower is a killer app, but I'm jumping on the 'liked it quite a bit' train.
It was completely unique with what it did and I can honestly say it was the most free I've felt in a game in a long time. Something about being a petal and wooshing around... it was just aesthetically really nice.
I agree that it's ignorance to say it's not a game considering, as stated, there's levels, hidden goals that allows for replayability for some, a story with a conclusion and you had the freedom to approach each section of a level any way you wanted to.
As for length, in my opinion, if it was any longer it would have gotten incredibly dull. As an experience, it's better than half the shit out there these days. I don't think you always have to blow someone's head off for a game to be fun, though I know there's plenty of people out there who think otherwise.
Edit: Also, I find it funny that people point to Metal Gear as being more of a game when it's completely possible to finish the whole game in 2 hours outside of cutscenes. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but let's not kid ourselves here.
Oh i see he was banned for having an argument on a forum. What a fucking scandal.
lolz... Have you played those games that you deem "shitty"? I think either: 1. You have not, maybe because you can't afford a $400 bundle (You seem pretty angstful about the price). 2. You have but in fact YOU are the one who has poor tastes. Yeah, Mario Kart was fun... when I was 12. inFamous and Warhawk are ridiculously fun games that (imo) have stripped out most of the bullshit that infects many modern games, and are just plain entertaining.
You might be getting old as you say... or maybe you're just too broke or cynical.
Edit: I don't think anyone said SSHD or Flower were earth-shattering masterpieces, but they sure are fun and well worth ten dollars. I get where BRP was coming from, but for a couple bucks, Flower is worth the graphics and the experience.
I like super stardust and Wipeout HD. ;x Not saying they are omgwtfamazing definantly worth the price though. Donno how you hold DL content vs. Disc content on the same level, seeing as they are completely different standards tbh.
games don't count unless they are difficult to play
games don't count unless they are emulated ad infinitum
BRP needs to work on his trolling tbh (ok not really, he knows how to get responses, but it's just that his schtick is weak content-wise). but anyhow, I'm going to buy Flower sometime soon and try it out because of this thread
i was actually thinking of picking it up now too, lol
Nicely done, Sony Defense Force.
eh... you guys shouln't take the "must have" too literal... i simply wanted to hear what suggestions people have so i can check stuff out and see if i like it, next time i'll make sure to double check my wording to avoid pointless arguments in my innocent threads ; ;
that being said, i checked the inFamous demo out and gotta say i expected more of it. it's fun to play, but not fun enough for me for a full price purchase.
Also, for any europeans out there who wish to import blazblue (or other US stuff), check out axelmusic.com, pretty cheap and they ship from within the EU so there won't be any additional fees and taxes.
