Hello Everyone,
I played on Bahamut for almost a year untill i moved to Seraph and have now quit. I would just like to warn people on Bahamut or any other server that this player might transfer to. He is a crafter that i asked to synthesize for me but didnt respect our agreement.

I will give a detailed description of what happened so that in the future you dont deal with him.

Well one day i thought i would give a Cerberus Mantle +1 a shot, seeing at the time that i didnt not have the required craft to do this, i searched ffxiah for reputable people with the required craft and came across Hiroshison. I spoke to him and as per usual he agreed to the synth. Prior to any synths taking place we made an agreement which follows:

1) If it were to NQ i would tip him what i thought was reasonable
2) If it were to HQ we would split profits 60% (me) : 40% (him)
3) The whole point of synth was to make profit from an HQ not to keep

We both agreed on those terms.
So on the first synth we get an NQ, i give him the matts for a 2nd synth but was missing one item, so i quickly run to AH get the item and come back, Hiroshison on this attempt manages to HQ it. At this point both of us are amazed and jumping up and down in excitement. So i trade Hiroshison but he doesnt trade me, he told me he would put it on a mule and let it go out to Rolanmart for the weekend. We both agreed the price to sell it at and he did just that. Hiroshison was going on a BCNM run with a crafter friend of his called Demples. They invited me to come along with them as it would of been helpfull to have a PLD kiter in that situation. I tagged along, seeing as i had never done this BCNM before the first run went quite bad. I saw the dirt quite a few times lol. Second or third went alright.

On Sunday i send him a tell asking if he had sold the mantle yet, he replied saying no. I told him i would take the mantle and trying selling it myself either to friends of mine or by /shouting in WG. His response was "No". At this point i was wondering why he wouldnt let me, worried i kept on /telling asking him to give me it or give me gill and he could sell it and take all the gil when it sold. Im not gonna lie, i sent him enough /tells to consider it spam. Next thing i know hes /blacklisted me.

A few weeks later hes sold the Cerberus Mantle +1, but doesnt contact me and gives me nothing. He calls me RMT, Gilbuyer, Account Hacker and a Botter and that is why he will not associate with me or give me my share of the gil.

So what do you guys/girls think of this? Was i in the rong or was he?
Should he be trusted? Was i right in posting this thread to warn people?

PS. I paid for both sets of matts, this whole mess was free to Hiroshison.

Never ask a 100 crafter to make something for your own profit. Try leveling a 100 craft then you'll understand why. Although he didnt go about it in a nice way lol.

Leathercraft 100 prolly cost him in excess of 20m (not free)

^ That. The agreement was made beforehand. With any luck, you actually spoke to him in-game about it via Tells or party chat? And you can remember the general timeframe you spoke to him in? Call a GM.

Fuck. This brings back memories of a near identical thread here where everyone and their mom turned around and blamed the OP for not offering to tip moar or some shit. Like all crafters have a right to all merc synths they do. I have no problem with that. If they don't agree to the terms of the synth they can just walk away and the OP could find someone else to do it. But they agreed to it, and turned their back on that agreement with a 15M+ item. Shit.

As a 100 crafter (albeit in a crappy craft), if you make an agreement like that beforehand, you stick to it. Personally, 60/40 sounds like a pretty decent split if the crafter isn't the one supplying the mats and eating the breaks. Also, Cerb Mantles are pretty big loss on NQs - the person supplying the materials is eating that as well. If there's one person taking all the risk, they should have a major stake in the reward as well.

Sorry to hear that it worked out badly, you may want to stick to LS crafters or friends in the future, even if it means picking less ambitious synths.

Unless he did it during megainflation or he skilled up on Dusk Gloves and got unlucky, I'd say 2-3M loss.

I'm sorry that happened to you, the crafter is wrong in that case, a deal is a deal. I wish you luck in the future, try calling a GM, I hope maybe they can do something, but by now it's probably to late. Shame people can't be trusted. /sigh

When he first broke the agreement, you could have GM'd him. Instead, you decided to break game rules by harassing him so that makes you wrong too.

He broke the agreement by not paying you and instead of calling GM on you for harassing him, he decided to block you. Most GMs will tell you to block people who harass you in /tells. I did not vote because there is no box for "both".

Then Elephantman should have skilled Leather himself 2-3m loss thats like 12 NQs? As per usual someone trying to take the easy route and make gil off someone elses hard work.

I craft for free for friends that need stuff but anyone else wants something they pay full price, and thats they way it should always be.

If the crafter didn't like it, he should've said no. Period. The guy's trash for taking the man's mats and keeping the HQ against their previous agreement, no if's and's or but's about it.
