NOBODY PANIC
NOBODY PANIC
I would suggest reporting this through the POL site, not just a GM call. GM's are really hit and miss.
this looks fun
Campaign mobs don't regen, and even if you tried to make a campaign last forever if they did, they'll eventually warp if another campaign is scheduled to start and the first one is still going on.
You can see this sometimes if your group is winning a longer running campaign and for absolutely no reason the beastmen warp and call it a day, campaign ends and you get your xp and 10 seconds later another campaign starts. It seems to differentiate between different waves of the same campaign, and completely different runs.
The only way this could even be abused would be for mage jobs to get infinite mp to never have to rest thus improving their xp without having to melee, or for jobs like monk or sam to spam revitalizers to kill all the mobs in a wave really fast and hurt everyones xp including their own.
Lets go back to SCNM abuse. What if a mage spams fanatics and infinite MP, and never engages the NM? A non-cheating friend (who need not even be in the mage's party) melees down the NM while the invincible mage cures him with no fear of retribution.
The NM would still drop the box, right? It was never hit by anyone that had tags.
I suppose, but that would take more than 2 people. You'd need to get it all done before the campaign ended, which for safety would probably include enough people to do it without using the glitch in the first place unless you get really lucky on the duration.
It sounds moderately abusable in that instance, but hardly enormously game-altering. You have to remember that in that example the person doing all the damage can't abuse infinite 2 hours or anything else particularly helpful to speed the fight up. You can't even invite an abusing bard to keep up permanent 2 hour buffs or nothing drops. All you really get is an infinite curing battery that will die the second campaign ends if the SCNM is still alive.
What happends if you work the NM down with the Glitch, then someone get hate, and the Glitcher then goes and removes tags, and then joins the party for the last 10% of the fight?
If removing tags works, than you could just solo NMs to 1% with repeated meikyo shisui or whatever, and just hold it with fanatics drinks until campaign ends.
With Ixion, if you get tags at all during the fight and touch it, it won't drop anything so I'd assume the same would hold true here.
Idk lets do more testing on a glitch so that when we get banned for doing it, we'll just say "Oh I didn't mean to abuse this I was just figuring out if I did something to a NM, would I beable to take off my tags and then finish the fight, it just so happened I spammed fanatics drinks and TP wings that I wasn't suppose to have, damn it SE banned me for a reason that doesn't seem fit to the crime"
Anyone with tags touching a mob (probably simply being in ally) nulls out any drops as far as I know. This effect probably goes until complete de-aggro.
Unless this glitch appears exclusively in La Vaule, I'm more concerned/intrigued about ANNM abuse.
You do not get loot or experience/limit points if you attack any monster with Campaign tags on. It's not something that needs to be tested. This particular game mechanic is not broken.
Enjoy exploiting the fuck out of Campaign until Squeenix fixes it and/or bans everyone that uses the glitch.
