I won't go in-depth as to my reasons but I strongly disagree with this move. Yes the douchebaggery has gotten out of hand but that's mainly because Tekki is overzealous about retarded shit and never about anything important, Falisa has no idea what she's doing, Ksandra just deletes threads and passes the buck, and overall the mods are afraid to really dole out any punishment or restriction - even to myself. God knows I've deserved it in a lot of stuff lately and I've been testing the waters. It's on your shoulders and you failed (besides Isla and Soneldar bitches at me in game.)

You want a cleaner, friendlier Advanced? That's fine. But it's not going to happen by throwing a blanket over everything and making idle threats. Standard was amazing and Advanced was a lollerfest - but anyone with half a fucking brain knew it. "This is advanced?" was a joke because nothing in advanced was advance, ever. Don't be daft about that shit.

We're being pussies because certain linkshells are waving around "we know how to lock AV but we won't share with BG because they're big meany heads who don't deserve it!" and you know what? Fuck ALL of you. Fuck you, fuck off, suck my ass.

Nobody would be locking fuckall on AV without the numerous advancements that were fronted and advanced via BG by the community as a whole - and more specifically by our flawed way of doing things. I'm all for a more strictly enforced set of rules, I'll even follow them. Do it for the right reasons though. Don't do it because "wahhhh people bitched about the forums wahhh" Fuck off, suck it up or step down faggots. Don't do it because "we have info but we're not sharing with you because we may get made fun of so we're going to cover that up by saying you're all jerks!" Fuck off fuck you fuck all of you. In short: I approve of the spirit of the change but I think the reasons it's being pushed through makes us all look like spineless-fuckbags who will gladly take a red-hot cock up the ass for a tiny tidbit of info.

i still dont get why ppl think ebon panels have anything to do with AV, you use them for the CoP mission for your Light of Dem/Mea/Holla/Vahzle depending on what race you are (either ebon panel works, in Hu'xzoi or Ru'Hmet, its just that Ru'Hmet is allot easier to do, and once your past the mission, no ebon panel anywhere ever does anything again -.-.

Yes, Advanced had gotten shitty. That is why you fix it. I don't understand what you would want instead. Would you just want things to stay the way they were?

Honestly, I think the mods did a good job of giving the people what they want. A lot of people wanted the shittiness. They liked turning Advanced into Spam II. And Sono and the mods let them do it.

It was a case of the kid on Halloween whose parents didn't stop them from eating all their candy so the would get a stomach ache and learn a lesson about moderation.

Sometimes people may demand things but it isn't really what they want or what they need or the excess just isn't good for themselves. Do I think they intentionally tried to teach us a lesson? No, but that doesn't mean the lesson wasn't learned. I think most people, even the most hard-core Advanced spammers, now want something that is more informative and less shit-filled.

This change is that idea put into form.

I don't know, it's not like I would think that there shouldn't be a good drama thread every once in a while, but the drama threads have been turning into AV kind of threads. All drama now is just replays, rehashes or retellings of better drama in the past. Ninja-lotting? Done. Hacking? Done. Gay sex for gear? Done.

Maybe if someone stole their roommates account, then their roommate beat them down AND posted pictures of the thief post-beat down, THEN we might have new drama.

Anyways, I like the new setup. Reality is FF (while still going) is running out of overall steam. New info is coming everyday but not at the pace it used to, and as others said, drama threads are so rare now. The forums were good when we needed it for the activity, but now need to get reset for current activity.

I'm glad we're focusing more on the information parts. I think it's more important for BG to continue being a great place to learn more about the game, than bigkills-esque type posts.

I could be misunderstanding them, but I think this is wrong, and in fact they are saying that BG stagnated advances on AV, because one of the theories thrown out here actually worked, but either some idiots tested it and said it didn't work, or people just laughed it down and dismissed it and said "oh, I've fought AV 200 times, there's no way that is true."
