Not sure im likeing the new Jack, maybe its just me but i like the idea of the charater showing that he wasnt fully gay or straight he was sort of in the middle if that even makes sence, made him more intresting as a charater. Saying that hes still pretty awesome.

It has been rather annoying, cuz he always hit on/slept with anything, even if it wasn't human. And they keep going back to "It's something in his past! He lived SO long he doesn't remember anything, and there's no way he could possible even know what it is, cuz it's totally random." >_> Needs less government stuff and more supernatural/alien/etc.

Yeah, I kinda miss each episode being something different. But some torchwood is better than no torchwood? Maybe if this one does good enough they'll stop with the mini-series format.

As for Jack, he's always been "omnisexual" or however you want to describe it, but due to the lack of alien stuff this season, he's only had a chance to hit on guys! I mean, idk, he's always favored guys a bit more than girls in the past imo, so he keeps going to places with guys/bumping into guys, and hasn't had a chance to do it with a chick yet? idk, but I definitely don't mind it.

Even further the current theory is that

In the past the Families took two vials of Jacks blood and went to the opposite sides of the earth, one vial went to Buenos Aires and the other went to Shanghai. They spilled the blood and because of Jacks healing properties, the blood tries to seek the other out and in doing so bores a hole through the earth. When the two meet they create a morphic field similar to jacks (Which makes him immortal) but this field cancels his out and make everyone else immortal.

It's been sloppy as hell. RTD has never been that great at an ongoing plot, so I am not surprised a ten part americanized Torchwood wasn't so good.

dunno I kinda liked it. I mean it was kinda meh most of the time, but its kinda fun to watch a drwho-story from another perspective


edit: also its became quite obvious how narrow captain jack is as an actor when he went up against Ernie Hudson in the restaurant-scene in "The Middle Men"

What is with the abyss in front of the blessing? Is there some actual reason they would have to dig that deep around it once they had enough of the spot uncovered to crack it or was it just some stupid pointless thing to make the gaping hole in the earth look cooler to the viewer that I was supposed to ignore? It makes no sense which annoys me.

Edit: Hmm, after checking the numbers, It's doing as well as Spartacus did in the US, and better than season 2 of Torchwood in the UK. I'd be pretty shocked if there isn't a pickup.

I'll be honest. Yes, there are odd plot holes (like why is the blessing so big etc etc), but it's a sci-fi show. I just watched it and accepted what they said in the show, and I loved every minute of it.
