Yhoat, backdoor by NIN AF thingy, and Parrying in general has a horrible and incosnsistent skill up rate.
If I "befriend" an Apkallu in Zhayolm using a fish, will it come with me to the Sarameya island? Typically it will climb mountains to reach you in the zone, unless someone else bribes them with an ahtapot or w/e; not sure about the island.
Is the DoT of Poison I/II affected by INT or any other factor for that matter? I saw mention of this in the wiki and I was wondering if anyone could confirm or disprove it or if there is any testing on it.
I did a couple of searches for it but I wasn't able to find too much more than passing mentions.
I was more under the impression that it was affected by Enfeebling Skill level, but that it capped at 10 with a fairly low amount of skill (less than the natural skill of a 75 mage). That would explain why low level mage mobs' poison does less than 10, but higher level mobs and level 75's all do exactly 10. I've never heard of anyone testing for tiers at low levels of skill.
earlier question still stands, approximate attack cap at mamool camp? in addition, does Dia II or III have a cap on how much they reduce the mob's defense? debating 2h pizza vs. meat builds with some friends and needed some backup. thanks guys ~
thanks, that was really the last thing i needed to know. i was missing the NIN mam's approximate defense, have it now.
That is the way I have always understood it, I used to hear rumours of people getting 11hp/tic Poison after Avocat feet came out or something, but never saw any evidence to back it up.
Not quite the same scenario, but I've had Apkallu follow me in to the Astral Candescence BCNM in Arrapago Reef so it might be possible. Only a few hundred zeni to test it out!If I "befriend" an Apkallu in Zhayolm using a fish, will it come with me to the Sarameya island? Typically it will climb mountains to reach you in the zone, unless someone else bribes them with an ahtapot or w/e; not sure about the island.
FFXIclopedia • View topic - Poison Damage has some testing on poison damage. It's not exhaustive but it certainly suggests it's skill-based and like Nerull said I've always thought the required skill level for 10/tick is pretty low.
I never even knew it changed with skill until like a year ago, though I never exactly paid attention to Poison damage until after I was 75 anyways. I do call shenanigans on the 11/tick, though.
Alright, thanks guys, seems like even if it is it's already capped out.
Anyone know if Steel Cyclone has any sort of hidden attack boost?
might want to PM maxaru about the steel cyclone thing. i know he did some tests on it awhile ago. if you can get him to stop obsessing about ninja now...
I'd hardly call it obsessing, more like having fun.
Steel Cyclone numbers fit with it having a 50% pDif boost, Ground Strike as well apparently since the only differences between the damages I've done with those WSes line up exactly with the weapon damage/Int vs Vit mod differences.
ok I give up looking.
How much stp from gear does sam need to get a 5-hit build with 480 delay polearm?
Assume 10 from merits. Thanks a million.
