why thank you!
Follow-up question. How much stp do you need to wear on WS to keep it?
Does storetp apply to Ikishoten TP?
Imaginary weapon which gives exactly 10tp w/ no sTP, 5/5 ikishoten, then 10 stp, on zanshin hits: does it return 27.5 ((10+15)*1.10) or 26 ((10*1.10)+15)?
Was wondering if anybody could help me with Blue Magic skill. I understand that the skill is divided into tiers, the highest being 310 skill i believe (currently available). Sadly 310 skill is not available to me because of my merit setup on my BLM and SCH. My question is what is the highest tier i can attain with the AF body and Hat with a maximum of four merits into my Blue Magic skill and how it will effect my spells?
[(BLU Skill*.11)(2)]+[3]. Round to nearest whole number at each part.
With just maxed skill + AF Body + Relic Helm, it's 67 Base. If you get two or more BLU merits, you'll hit 69 Base. If you can remove one merit from Ele/Enfeeble, and get three BLU merits, you can use a STR hat > Mirage helm and keep the base damage. Otherwise, it looks like two skill merits will set you up.
What will it do? It will make your Physical spells do more damage. It will make your magic spells more magical. It will make your magic spells resist less often. It also supposedly will increase Pinecone Bomb ACC. Not as if that or the last three points matter.
Edit: Oh and go to hell Taru.
lets say we get 1 base dmg via fstr on a DW job, to find out the % increase to DoT, would we average the weapons? let's say blau/sirocco
26 + 33 = 59. So for the % increase, would we look at it like
59/2 = 29.5
adding 1 fstr
1/29.5 x 100 = 3.39% increase in DoT
Eh you calculate the % increase for both weapons if they'd gain 1 DMG and then you average those %s. Probably same outcome, lazy etc., but keep in mind you use weighted averages if you DW a weapon that swings more than once (1/2.5 and 1.5/2.5 for Organics/Joyeuse). You also use weighted averages if there's a hitrate difference between the 2 (different weapon types).
you need to get 20,0+ tp/hit per melee hit and ws basically. in practive you need either full time usu feet and body, or full time hachiman hands and feet (nyzul body /hachi body can be considered for weakling mobs or sushi). For 480 delay GK ( pahcipachio) you need to ws in usu body instead of osode ( or hachi feet instead of rutters). For 480 delay Fituno mitama you can tp in hauby+1 and ws in osode.
Does any one know the exact HP of Ebony puddings in Mount Z?
I know its 4-4.5k but would like a more precise number.
Does their HP vary much over their level range?
(I am trying to reduce my overkill and improve my exp rate)
I was told that as long as a mob has a dot on it, it will not regen health even unclaimed. Is this true for all mobs (nms in particular)?
Also does this affect depoping? i.e if a nm depops 3 mins after being unclaimed, but has a dot on it with 1 min left duration left, will it still depop after 3 mins or will it be 4 after going unclaimed?
I've done that twice on some lowman Byakko. During one of them, one of our tanks and our brd both d/c'ed at the same time and couldn't get back on. I zombied it for awhile, then the other tank (a nin/drk) solo tanked it while 2boxing the brd. Fun times.
So I'm WSing on my DNC and I realized that I think I may be over the acc cap on my ws gear, which means I could start adding in more dmg.
Here's my ws gear: Note 268 dagger skill 75/76 dex (depending on sub).
Azoth main hand/Behe +1 or Airy Buckler/Tiphia
Optical Hat/Soil Gorget/Hollow Earring/Diabolos' Earring
Mirke with 10 acc/Enki Hands/Rajas/Ulthalium
Ammet+1/Potent/Cobra Sub/Denali
I'm always eating sushi because my TP gear is 22% haste which means My acc suffers. Alternatively I could use all my acc gear and eat meat/pizza, but I think the haste is more dmg overtime, and it def. is worth more TP which is my DNC's goal.
Assuming I did my math right, I should be at about 395 acc on the WS w/out food, which means with sushi I could be at about 440 acc so on Greater birds I should be able to drop about 33 acc. If this is right, what suggestions do you guys have for what to add in?
If I may also ask the same question on my pup which is 242 h2h and 77 dex.
Hades/Turbo ani (2dex)
Optical/Soil gorg/Hollow/Diabolos
Mirke 10acc/Enki/Ulthalium/Rajas
Belicose/Potent/Pantin Legs (5acc 2str)/Pup af+1 (5str 5 acc)
I should be at about the cap on birds, just a few points shy. Are there any gear reccomendations?
OK, so kinda newbie question here, just plugged my TP/acc gear on SAM to find out what Hit rate I get (about) on birds, no food and no Madrigal/Hunter's. Ended up being 67-69% depending on the birds' level (I don't do a lot of endgame on SAM.) Is this normal, low-end, high-end...? I could have sworn I hit a hell of a lot more than that, considering I never get Madrigal/Hunter's and can barely afford food on Colibri >_<
Here's the gear/setup I have, keep in mind I'm still working on CoP and don't have a lot of cash-flow atm.
Onimaru/Pole
Turban/Chiv/Spike/Bushi
Haub/HachiKote/Woodsmanx2
Amem+1/Potent/R.K.Breeches/HachiSuneate
Capped skill + merits, so a skill total of 297.
I know food would boost it up a lot, but I don't really have the available gil to afford any good food, same with things like PCC, etc. Is there anything I can do to improve my TP accuracy, or is the 67-69 range acceptable w/o rolls/songs?
Currently saving for PCC, Hagun, working on CoP for Rajas to be able to ditch the Hachiman stuff.
you're a bit low there, without dealing with gear you have 2 choices, have a brd play blade madrigal or spam crab sushi. Either should cap your acc or pretty close. If you have one brd they should be playing mad&min, if you have 2 one should still be playing those so you are probably ok for now. More to what you are asking though 67-69% is not really acceptable. So you should do one of the above. If you really never get hunter's or madrigal somebody is doin it wrong. If you are just flat out of options I would probably wear o.hat instead of turban. With it being your only haste equipment you're not losing a ton by swapping it out, and the acc might make up for it. Parse it and give it a try maybe.
When I *do* get into merit pts with 2 BRDs, it's always Marchx2/Minx2... BRD/COR is Marchx2 + DRK/SAM rolls, so yeah, I hardly get accuracy. Don't have an Ohat I can steal from anyone (damn R/E shit) and haven't really looked at getting one really. I'll try the sushi, I've got a few spare plates of Squid, been reluctant to burn through those though. Crab's a ton cheaper and not much lighter on accuracy, so those'd be the best for me.
I just don't get parties enough to merit on SAM, so it's not a top concern, and like I said before... endgame on SAM when I've said I have BLM? Haha, no. Thanks for the tips, I'll try it out!
So question for all our blm mathologists out there;
In order to achieve a decent rate of no resist you need roughly 120INT and 320 Elemental Skill, correct? This set-up was based off of Tiamat's INT if I remember correctly, right? The idea is that at +10 INT from the monster, resist rates change dramatically, etc, etc, right?
Now can this work in reverse? Can you pile on a whole bunch of INT gear and resist most of Tiamat's nukes, let's say? Would it be to actually create a magic evasion build for certain jobs that encompass all elemental damage by way of INT check?
