Random Question About RNG/DRG:

Is that job combo viable?

While I was missing out on berserk, Meditate, Store TP trais, etc. I had Attack Bonus I and High Jump in my arsenal of tools. While our traditional rangers fought for the highest E-peen damage and died many times, I pulled out continous damage without stealing hate.

RNG/DRG: Yay or Nay?

presuming u mean for kc rng, in which case as long as its a large event where many ppl beating on the mobs hell yes! in exp pt tho, id wager w/o a relic ws ull be getting beat on at a slightly dangerous rate, either way,ive done it myself with kraken, and it was assloads of fun, im sure as long as your just aware of mob control during a party you will be a fine and powerful combo, which kinda goes for every/any setup, but for some of those larger events where many melee pt's beat on the mobs, i ususaly prefer the /war route over /drg, but its mostly preference and based off my buffs setup.

While on the topic of rng/drg; would subbing this be viable at HNMs where you eventually get to the hate cap mid fight. Just high jump your hate away and keep on DDing? Albeit not nearly as good damage/minute, could you do more damage not having to hold back your hate as much.

I also realize eatting an r3 to erase your hate is better since RNG isnt effected by weak, but you cant always do that..

Taking pld to 75, 41 atm. Should i be going for DD or tank style? I was thinking of DD'ing but w/o makin gmy defense shit (like no voyager cause it has 0 defense, but using thinks like luisant haub and the +5 acc hands when i get 55, pcc, ect.

Mainly lv'ing it just to lv it, not in an HNM shell so i don't really see myself tanking things, but it seems like a fun job and I need something to do, so yea.

I think its safe you can start DD style tanking when you start doing Birds really. You can probably start earlier if your PTs aint overhunting mobs but battle VT and low ITs ~

Also, should i be full timing defender or idling in neither, using defender for oshi and using zerk for ws then click off?

if use to just full time defender n click n switch for ws for pts that cant keep a good kill pace/speed. never had a awesome dd build for zerk, fastblade. stuck with red lotus for the most part till vorpal

It depends on the backline and what you're fighting, if you can afford to leave zerk up then there is no reason not to, just monitor yours and the mages mp and judge each situation on that.

It depends on the backline and what you're fighting, if you can afford to leave zerk up then there is no reason not to, just monitor yours and the mages mp and judge each situation on that.

Using Defender or not is pretty situational, I've had parties where I forgot it existed because I was already taking so little damage.

But if you leave Beserk up, you'll prolly get thrashed. Not recommended.

When I leveled PLD one thing I did do was use zerk > WS > pop defender. Zerk + defender cancel themselves out. But when you WS again you cancel defender to get a 2nd WS out of zerk then finally cancel zerk.

DD should be fine but I'd say for for V/W. Mask over sallet since it's got att and def vs str/dex no def of sallet, I started DD tanking pretty much 33 on pld.

I only fulltime defender personally if I am stuck with a meh sch[or whm] and no form of refresh, but I much prefer having rdm, brd, or cor in which case I find defender uneeded and do the zerk thing recommended by other person.

Wait, Slow2 and Para2 are NOT affected when stacked with the QD shots? I figured they would've been, since they stacked with the regular ones.

Are you guys sure it stacks with Slow, and are you sure it doesn't stack with Slow II? Only thing I know is it used to stack with Elegy but not anymore due to tremendous bork. Anyway, if both are true, Slow > Slow II w/ a COR, and that can't be how it's supposed to be.

about the pld question

if you don't want to buy two sets of gear, turtle pld is usually fine. that extra mp not used up curing you will do more for your pt as dia ii on every mob, and all DD's hasted
