    For Straight damage:

    AF Hat+1
    Enlightenment Torque
    Errant Body
    Yigit Hands
    Gleeman's Cape
    Penitents (Until Relic Belt)
    Goliard Feet

Edit: For the record, when popping ebullience I tend to out nuke 90% of the Black Mages in my LS at the moment
Depending on what you're nuking, those are some lousy BLMs.

So would using a shield "gimp" my eva / parrying? I have capped eva and almost capped parrying skill. I have a lot of +eva gear i was planning on wearing also.

I will be going in at lvl 66, and a taru ... so the more he misses me, the better!
    The defense order is:
Evasion = Parry > Shadows/TE/Blink > Shield/Guard > phalanx > SS. So to answer your question having a shield shouldn't reduce your evasion or parry rates at all.

How difficult is it to duo the old nation mission 5-1? 50MNK & synced RDM any issues? Also; on the subject of "low-manning" old content, what's the bare minimum for Promyvions? I haven't really been inside those since I completed them four hundred years ago and have no idea what the mission BCNMs are like after so many nerfs.

I also thought of going BLU & MNK and just running in w/ Sheep Song to sleep the pets and spam Head Butt/Bludgeon on the boss but I am unsure on healing (Er this is in regards to 5-1, I am a little dumb inside and forgot I was talking about Promyvion immediately after)

The climbs are easy as hell (Especially for RNG and BLU), but I remember BLU being shit for the actual fight itself compared to most melee. Wasn't impressed at all by the damage done using spells or HB's stun.

MNK+RDM shouldn't be too difficult if both people are quick with spells/adds, but having a third person just makes it ridiculously easy(I've done it several times with friends).

And if you want a real challenge, I'm pretty sure I've seen a RDM solo video of it. Doesn't look like it's on youtube anymore, but someone might remember it.

Ok, semi-weird question, but I really would like an answer because it'll (potentially) save me millions.

^Got this today, and I was wondering whether or not the additional +3DEX/4STR on Chuch Mantle is worth buying over this. I understand that the additional +3DEX is a hefty 1.5acc increase, but is the STR even worth arguing over/what is the benefits of it? I need an honest opinion x.x. Thanks in advance!

edit: For anyone curious, that's a Antares Harness.

If you can spare the gil (nothing else to save up for) I would say go for it.
Cuchulain's mantle can be used as a ws piece as well for certain weaponskills.

You can't really ask us if it's "worth it" since that's a personal opinion you'll have to make. A Cuchulain Mantle would be an improvement, and like all EG upgrades, it's a minor improvement for a lot of gil.

I'd question it beating out forager/am+1/Cerb=1 tbh w/o str to match the other mantles for fstr (provided its not capped)

I figured math wizards here could tell me the vital difference between Chuch, this back piece, and other pieces (like Cream Soda just mentioned). If wearing this is actually backpedaling compared to say... my Amemet Mantle+1, then I would like to know.

As evident in the SS, I wear a Ame+1 and have no plans to upgrade that to Foragers. How big of a difference would 2STR make? I appreciate the answer

Was actually considering an MKD head with Str 4 WS Acc 15 Dex 4 Crit Dmg +2% for Ninja/Jin, since I have Nhead it would just be a stand-in low Acc WS piece.

I figure since Nin WS heads are basically Vsallet (3/4), Orc hat (6/4), Ohat, Shura, Enkidu, or that ZNM headband, it's pretty hard to beat.

Assuming your accuracy is uncapped the difference is 3 dex (1.5-2.5 accuracy depending on current dex and weapon) a bonus to critical hit rate (this would change depending on what you're fighting and your current dex), 4str which equates to 1fstr and some attack attack. Assuming accuracy is uncapped its going to provide an extra 0.75-1.25% hit rate, maybe will affect crits and will make you hit slightly harder, as was already said it wouldn't be a major upgrade over the augmented mantle and there may well be other upgrades that are more cost efficient that can be made first.

If you rarely fight stuff harder than merit mobs I wouldn't be too eager to get cuch mantle as with merits, decent gear and pizza you will cap accuracy for the most part and then foragers/amemet mantles both become better.

2str (the difference between amemet +1 and foragers is actually +1str) will equate to +1fstr 50% of the time, it depends on what you are fighting as it is calculated by subtracting the targets vit from your str. It also depends on the weapon you're using as they have different weapon ranks with different fstr caps. Whether or not its 'worth' making the upgrade would depend on the rest of your gear and other potential upgrades you could make.

Should note that my post is for Helices. Intelligence should be prioritized for those, while Intelligence, Magic Accuracy, Elemental Magic Skill, and Magic Attack Bonus all need to be considered for nukes.

It's not like that stuff doesn't affect helices, you still need to take it into consideration.

fSTR is very strong for low-D weapons like daggers; 1 additional fSTR is 3% of Blau damage with latent active. With blau you hit fSTR cap at a mere +36 STR over mob VIT, but you aren't anywhere near that in your TP gear.

Not nearly as much. Intelligence increases the damage more than Magic Attack does, and also offers 1/2 or full Magic Accuracy depending on the target. While not getting resisted is important, having the massive Intelligence, weather, Focalization, and Klimaform at your disposal makes this less of an issue. Also they have a low MP cost, and there's several of them, so you can just cast a different one to overwrite the resist if it happens.
For nukes, your main objective is not pure damage, but optimizing damage with accuracy. So you need all those stats I listed, with no priority given to a particular stat without situational purpose.

I more meant in regards to the INT earrings. Adding 1 INT will beat adding 1 MAB, but Moldy and/or Novia are going to beat INT+2 earrings. And if MAcc isn't a concern as you stated, Yigit Crackows are going to beat Goliard. Barely, but if you're aiming to max damage they will.
