also after having Tim Hortons, Krispy Kreme, and Dunkin Donuts I would have to say that although Tims coffee wins out, freshly made Krispy Kremes (from an actual standalone krispy kreme and not delivery) are the superior donut.
*hides*
Superior Glaze, perhaps, but you can't beat the Apple fritter, straight up.
Tim's also has garlic toast and chilli, egg and sausage muffins or bagels, soup, and a bunch of other kick ass lunch or breakfast menu things.
blah lol, more lawsuits ruining everything for everyone
I was at a Moxie's Or Pickel Barrel or some restaurant, my gf ordered a steak, and I shit you not, the mildly serrated edge on her butter knife was sharper than the steak knife
we asked the waiter for another steak knife but he admitted embarassedly that none of the steak knives were going to be much sharper, although brought us another without hesitation
obviously this was a safety precaution, or rather: a precaution against lawsuits, from stupid fucks who don't know how to use a knife -- I mean, goddamn, don't people cut steaks at home? don't people cut their fingers at home? big fuckin deal
there should be an implied consent (by law) that when you order steak, you are going to get a steak knife -- not some fucking Ginsu knife, mind you-- but a run of the mill steak knife, and yes honey it's sharp, be careful, bt in no fucking way is it the owner of the establishment's probelm if you fucking cut yourself, god.
krispy kremes were hugely successful when they first came here, for a while
now, I honestly couldn't direct you to one, Canadians aren't used to such a high sugar content, I think all that's left are little kiosks in random gas stations
similar to what someone mentioned about Tim Horton's taking on Starbucks like it wun't no thang (ok I'm paraphrasing), Tim Horton's also held their own it seems, although in all honesty Tim Horton's isn't really celebrated for their donuts in and of themselves, I honestly think that decadently and purposely unhealthy style of overloadedly sugary, heartburn causing donut just didn't go over well
I think that's why Krispy Kremes are so HUGELY successful in the American south (there are reports that the "HOT NOW" sign has caused massive traffic accidents and it's not uncommon for people to line up at like 5AM), because people in the south love overly sweet things. Mint Juleps, sweet tea, dr. pepper, etc., the more sugar the better. I tried Krispy Kreme in Greenwich Village NYC and hated it, but after spending a year in Virginia I was hooked.
And honestly, Starbucks' coffee is awful, it's their espresso drinks that are decent (although overpriced) unless you happen to get one made just after they descale the machines. I've had much better regular coffee from the coffee stands inside Whole Foods and even Panera, but I'd be hard pressed to compare them to Tim Hortons as well.
And Dunkin Donuts hardly even counts as coffee, the only reason people get tricked into drinking it is because a typical "Light & Sweet" is made with about 5 tsp. of sugar and loads of heavy cream (instead of half & half/milk), and as you know everything tastes better when it's shrouded in saturated fat.
I'm not going to lie, I've fallen asleep on the highway out of boredom, but I've never ditched it.
Yeah, Krispy Kremes never made it out here but I remember that everybody was freaking out about the sign that let you know when the donuts were fresh.
i only kept a few kinder toys but I should take pictures of them, some of them are so amazing
I miss when they were made with good materials like metal and stuff.

This is the only chocolate I eat now, shit is so good (fuck summer though, shit melts too fast). It's largely because it's the only good chocolate France sells, if I was still in England I'd be eating better shit but whatever.
I see those everywhere but I've never tried them, then again Canada has a fuckton of awesome chocolate. Can get almost everything here that you can get in Poland, England, and the U.S.
is that the same milk/white chocolate as the eggs, or just the same colors?
I don't like creme sugar like cadbury eggs but I like white chocolate >_>; that looks marshmellowy on the box but..maybe it's not >.>;
see, then that's something I'd try, I don't like the chocolate shell from kinder eggs because it tastes cheap to me (like they're trying to keep the price down, I always wondered how they could afford to sell them so cheap).. but a bar of higher quality stuff would be good
am I the only person who can't finish a whole cadbury creme egg in one sitting? DX
I'll pick one of those up and try it next time I hit walmart, I have one of those store cards I gotta burn up still anywho, I wish I could find a list of all the chocolate bars available in this area cause there's a fuckton.
Also, Smarties=/=Rockets, YOU'VE BEEN TOLD AMERICA.
Cadbury Creme Eggs always make me feel sick by the time I finish one, but I always get a box or two come easter and eat them all, I think I am masochistic.
