I like Jim Gaffigan, and I like Dane Cook's first CD, but other than that he just isn't funny. I'm trying desperately to think of a funny female comedian now.

I like Jim Gaffigan in general, but agree that King Baby was horrible. Beyond the Pale was awesome. I also saw him on his Beyond the Pale tour and that was great too.

If you don't like how Gaffigan dwells on the same subject for 10 minutes, maybe you would like Demetri Martin? He jumps from one completely random joke to the next. His charts aren't really props IMO and he only uses them for a short portion of his routine anyway.

BTW obvious statement is obvious but there are lots of different people in the world who enjoy lots of diffferent things. If all the comedians performed the way YOU wanted, that would be fucking amazing for you but would suck for other people. I know someone who thinks Jeff Dunham is hilarious. I don't know how, but it doesn't matter. He listens to the comedians he likes, and I listen to the ones I like.
