I considered /BLU and /DNC, but when the defensive capabilities aren't necessary, I really just feel like losing DW(and subsequently Evisceration and/or dual multi-hit weapons) isn't worth Vorpal Blade.

I'm sure it can be done either way, though, so do whatever you're most comfortable with.

Yeah, I'll probably stick with Ninja subjob. I feel like it's more damage. Also, what food did you use? I'm feeling like attack food is probably the best choice here although tacos might be up for consideration too.

I haven't been soloing, but I've been going RDM/DRK duo with a BLU. Souleater Vorpal Blade is very nice damage and drain and aspir are excellent utility. I'd rate it above /WAR. When I take hate (I do, eventually), it's never a problem with phalanx.

Stun would be a good claiming tool, but I get claimblocked every single time. Still need to work out the subtleties there.

An enparalyze that IS a problem is Tzee Xicu. Never seen anything like it.

Something that hasn't been mentioned here is it casts en-water and usually keeps it up most of the time, I'd say maybe 25% of the time is en-water down and en-paralyze has a chance to proc.

I used to solo dmg it on MNK/WAR... and it would rarely hit... (I had a healer with me too for poisona etc..)

DD/DNC can do it easily normally...

Yes, Atonement isn't physical damage.

There's a THF/NIN on my server that solos it if they get claim. Can't remember if they had an NPC to TA on, but I do know they used hi-pots and bloody bolts to stay alive.

Wiki claims a pld/rdm with yag drinks and good Atonement set can. But it is wiki afterall so take that with a grain of salt.

PLD/RDM solos KA in less than 16 minutes with no meds at all, as long as you have Atonement and decent tp gear. The only time I killed it in more than 16 mins out of all my solos was with really bad luck with its en-paralyze, and it was 16 minutes 40ish seconds, if I remember correctly. I havent seen any other job solo it faster and safer. I do use a npc that can haste me, I figure without npc at all you would be killing it in less than 18 minutes.

Also, PLD can also kill it /dnc, and even /war, but while the former is slower, the latter is risker, I would just stick to /rdm.

Never seen it, but it seams feasible as long as you have them mp to dispel the defense move. I am not sure otherwise if you will be doing enough damage, but with the proper gear and maybe refresh drinks for the first try, I'd go for it.

This is correct. I've soloed KA PLD/RDM (I have aegis though) and my MP as a taru never went below 650 even when I stopped using stoneskin - with some +enhancing gear, KA is a weakling. You can bring remedies for paralyze too if you want.

Yes. Acid Bolts and a decent RA setup to dispel Scissor Guard.
