The big difference is that you are attributing this to reading the Qu'ran. That's great if it works for you, but the truth is it could have been a placebo. They could have read the bible, achieved the same effect, and you could attribute it to the bible. They could have eaten spaghetti, felt magically better after removing all of the aforementioned items, and you could attribute it to eating a decent meal. At the end of the day, it means something to you and only you and you're making it into something it could very well not be.

Why is sex a sin? God created man to have sexual intercourse to reproduce, and if it wasn't his intention, he never would have made it possible. So God must be a little child with a magnifying glass if he would intentionally create man to be sinful and do sinful things just so that they would turn back to him in the end. If that simply isn't true, and God is a good and just God (as most books claim him to be in one chapter or another), then why would he make it possible to do what people do? I do not have anything against homosexuals, really i dont.
